Emma Simmons - ebony dark hair, light tan skin, sky blue eyes, 23 yrs old, a brilliant scientist, who created the most deadliest of all vipers, it has yet to be named. Strangely she can communicate with these vipers. She cares for human kind, and will do anything in her power to protect the ones she loves dearly.
Eric Strauss - dark brown hair, chocolate brown eyes, dark tan skin, 25 years old, sent to jail due to a charge with assault with a weapon, Emma’s ex-boyfriend from high school, escapes jail and plans to have revenge on the Brink family, who’s oldest son put Eric in jail, extremely dangerous, and plans to use Emma’s vipers to get back
Brink Family
Jacob Brink - father, pastor, sandy brown hair, sea blue eyes, 45 yrs old. Loves his family very much, willing to take Emma in as she is on the run from Eric, though he does not know that Eric has followed Emma, though she does, she warns him to get his family out of the house.
Mary Brink - mother, pastor’s wife, blonde hair, blue eyes, 45 yrs old. Loves her family, and Emma, as if Emma was her daughter or her in-law.
Jason Brink - son, lawyer, sandy brown hair, brown eyes, 25 yrs old. Man who put Eric in jail, married to Alison and has a little boy on the way.
Alison Brink - daughter in-law, mother, nurse, light red hair, green eyes, 22 yrs old. Stands by her husband no matter what, and cares for Emma as if she was Alison’s sister. Benjamin, their little boy, is on the way, she is eight months pregnant.
Jared Brink - son, going to college, sandy brown hair, blue eyes, 23 yrs old. Emma’s boyfriend for a while in college, they meet again now when Emma is running from Eric, is there still a spark between them? Is there a way to relight it? Cares for his little sister, Emily.
Emily Brink- daughter, only daughter of the Brinks, strawberry blonde hair, blue eyes, 7 yrs old. Doesn’t understand why Jared and Emma haven’t gotten back together, tries to match make. Loves her family and Emma very much and is willing to protect them form any harm that may come to them. Can she relight the spark between Jared and Emma?
Benjamin Brink - son of Alison and Jason, yet to be born.
Prologue
“Well it’s another beautiful day in Springfield, Illinois, and every thing couldn’t be better.” The radio announcer told Emma Simmons.
Emma groaned, and rolled over to go back to sleep. “Tell me its Saturday, please.” She told her mother.
“Nope, Monday, now come on sleepy head, Mr. Strauss is waiting for you down stairs.” Her mother was awfully cheerful.
“Tell him, I’m sick or something.” She muttered.
“Good morning, sunshine.” Eric told her, and gave her a soft kiss. “Wake up.”
“Eric, please, not on a Monday.”
Her mother left, quiet sure that Emma would be alright alone with Eric. Eric shoved her out of bed, and she squealed.
“Shh, do you really want your mother to hear you?”
“Do you really want to get me in trouble?” She questioned back, and laid a kiss on his lips. “Alright, I’m up. Tell mom I’ll be down in a little while.”
“Good.” He left, with a smile on his face.
********************** Two years later**********************************
“Damn you, Brinks, I’ll get you for this, mark my words, I’ll repay you!” Eric shouted at him.
Emma couldn’t look at him, he’d almost killed her. Jason Brinks took her hand, she looked into his eyes, and she could see that her own eyes swam in tears. Yet had she really loved Eric? After all they hadn’t dated since her freshman year of college.
“I’m sorry, Emma.”
“Don’t be, he hurt me, he got what he deserved. I’m just worried about you and your families keep ‘em safe, Jason.”
“I will don’t worry about it.”
Yet I can’t help but worry about it, Jason. She thought and then left the court building.
