This week has indeed been an interesting one. It seems one of my students at the Dojo has suddenly decided to make enemies with another Dojo here in town. For those of you familiar with Asian culture, this is at times quite commonplace and can even get very deadly. Here is the US, however, I don't know how this will all pan out.
I do like the Wushu master who teaches at Chang's School and respect his abilities greatly, but if he can be so easily twisted towards violence in a turf war, then I am afraid my respect in him will surely wane. My student too has been disciplined for his actions. No student of mine can I condone nor allow to get himself or herself caught up in a turf war.
