so there's a leak. under the house.. turns out that's why water bills were high the whole time we lived there. yay. an old feller is gonna try to dig at the side of house and see if he can just patch it. if not and if its galvanized we'll have to run a whole new pipe from meter to just under side of the house.. fun! altho my bro is a foreman at a papermill electric place so he can get an escavator or backhoe with a buddy to help and the plumber said he'll coach em if it comes to that...

hopefully this will be a surmountable task cuz its the biggest issue we've had with planning on selling the house. so it has to get done. or hell if we dont get it sold in time we'll be moving back needing water.. its just that its right on the road side right in busy town and weaker net.. i dont wanna leave my woods so we took a day off today but we worked 12 hours yesterday and will be going back 2m or monday. cuz monday 730 am.. plumber comes to see if he can patch our water... which.. would be.. ahhhhh mazin.. cross fingers for me. its nice to rant here lol.

Glad you got options for a fix so at least you won't have some cowboy giving you an inflated quote. Hopefully it can be a patch and not be a galvanised pipe.

I like using this place as a rantbox/diary too.
Today all of the electric on the street of the place I work in just stopped.
Alarms blaring everywhere, seeing through emergency lighting and not being able to leave the building until the power came back on. We had to be able to set the alarm before we left and it took a whileee.
Had a 19 year old coworker b***h and moan the entire time, which I kindly explained to her made no sense as we were literally getting extra pay for doing NOTHING.
Home now though, trying to plan some sort of surprise for the bf for dydd santes dwynwen (Welsh valentines day).

and holy cow that sux about the power outtage and listening to the whiny coworker. we got a snow storm hitting tonight so we aint going to go meet the plumber in the morning. luckily a family friend lives nearby with a key and watches the place for us. he's gonna let the plumber in and lock up after..

if we're lucky the plumber can just go under teh floor and patch a small section. we have a good sized crawl space. like u can walk on all 4's dont have to lie down. and we have a big floor door to it near where leak is..

if it cant be patched he'll be able to let us know then we're looking at digging to the meter and a full pipe put in. whee.. so i did laundry all day cooked cleaned, cut wood and kindlin. cooked buncha chicky nuggies and got munchies if power goes out. i was on my feet bout 10 hours straight today eek .

No snow for me just a lot of rain and ice, staying warm with an extra heater and a thick a** sherpa blanket

Morning! its cold as heckers out today! had to get up a couple times in the night last night to remake the fire in the furnace but we're doing good! sunny out but still not even 20 degrees. brrr!
