I wish I could travel forwards to yesterday.
When the sun shone, and there was no light.
When I could breathe, and there was no air.
The clouds rolled across the ground,
Like counterclockwise marbles made of plasma.
The wind tasted like anonymity and ink,
And the blackness of dark could be seen brightly.
So bright it made our ears blind and our eyes deaf.
The freezing cold heat left us laughing miserably.
And it rained reversed pieces of the sky.
You would raise your parents to be horrid,
But they’d never listen like they should have.
Instead daydreaming about playing on top
of the monochrome rainbows that spiraled outside.
And telling their friends how they couldn’t wait to retire,
After they finished kindergarten.
Time flowed quickly in a stationary state back then.
The time would move so fast the clocks would melt,
And we’d have to replace them with metronomes.
More than anything, I want to go back then.
But such a nice time it will be, saddening however, until then,
Having to wait so long until next yesteryear.
