• The rain that falls from above is all I can hear,
    it's the only thing that keeps me sane.
    For I'm losing all that I hold dear,
    but to me it's all the same.

    There is no sunshine where I come from,
    it's all clouds of dark gray.
    All I hear is the sound of my heart beating like a drum,
    I'm starting to belive I've lost my way.

    Why am I so different from the inside out?
    Can't people see that I'm dying inside?
    All I want to do is scream and shout,
    across the world so wide.

    As I lay on the cold grass in the rain,
    I watch the lightning shoot across the sky.
    All I feel is this deep,throbbing pain,
    which just makes me want to die.

    Memories came and went,
    and I cried my heart out.
    Crying was not my intent,
    but I'd rather cry the pain throughout.

    But then the feeling disappeared,
    I no longer feel the need to just lay.
    The sky had just been cleared,
    and a start of a brand new day.

    Blue skys and shining sunlight,
    makes me want to smile all day.
    It gives me the energy to fight,
    and not care what other people have to say.

    No longer does the rain have to keep me sane,
    I have the ones I love to do that job.
    I feel no more pain,
    it doesn't even throb.

    My mind has been made and I will arise,
    here I will stay.
    For all I see is blue skies,
    that won't turn gray.
