I will try to feel free
Yet free I will, never be
For the fact that you
See right through
Who I am pretending to be.
But I know as well Your truth,
You are entirely uncouth
You act so kind,
Yet you are quite unrefined
And at one point for some reason,
I loved you throughout your treason.
What is it about me,
That attracts the Ugly,
In Mind Heart and Soul
Do you take me for a fool?
Every venture with you, a new Discovery
Of my shattered heart in need of Recovery.
Our escapades have kept me leery
And your incessant lies have left me weary.
I pray to God that maybe one day,
You will right your wrongs, and find your way.
But the beast of yours that I did unearth
Though now dead swore to rebirth.
And it worries me, that I cannot hide
Nor find someone in whom I may confide,
The secret of your Monster within.
It is hiding just beneath the skin.
