My name is Anne,
I am but ten,
I never want to go to school again,

The girls there say I'm ugly,
They won't let me play,
So I'm alone every day,

The boys there call me names,
They throw rocks at me,
Break my glasses so I can't see,

I had one friend,
Her name was Eleanore,
She won't talk to me any more,

Maybe I won't go to school today,
Maybe they won't notice I'm gone,
Because it's just one,

My name is Anne,
I am but ten,
I never want to go to school again.

Yes, it's a good idea and I agree with NakedJack about the simplistic style, but I think you'd be far better off with just one more line in your stanza's.

I'm giving it a 5, cuz some a*****e gave it 4. The rating should be relevant to the other poetry on gaia, or there is no basis for consistency, from person to person, and thus the ratings would be meaningless, as they already are.

Really portrays the simplistic way a 10 year old would see it, and thus sympathy is a natural reaction. Also, the way she seems to accept the this reality, giving up on school because of this difficulty. Feelings of loneliness and the simplicity is an indication of giving up on wondering why. A post confusion confession of a little girl that wants to escape her demons by dropping out of school.
