Upon a wooden plank she lay,
For comfort there was nay,
Waking dreams on the hour,
She shudders as she feels their power.
It is too late to save her,
Succumbed to the curse has she,
Upon her shivering elegant body,
Is spun a sinister web by three.
What misfortune could befall her,
To fall in love with one so far,
Her love is but a fantasy,
Reality it will never be.
She is enclosed in the void,
No hope of escape for her,
Far beyond her reach,
are the thin tendrils of light she seeks.
Oh how he laughs,
with that one who is not she,
Stretched out before her,
Is the chain that she so longs to be.
Her spiritual body is hiding,
Deep within her soul,
Smiling is beyond her now,
All colour has drained from her world.
She knows the truth,
As does the Lord above,
She wonders what has she done,
To deserve such anguish of unspoken thoughts.
Feeding upon her every heartbeat,
Her feelings for him grow strong,
She's lost the will to deny them now,
Her life is lost as well.
