The sun’s setting. It’s getting cold.
Rain kinda tickles, but it’s such a sad entity.
Muddy mascara rivers are trailblazing down my cheek.
I feel...peaceful, yet...empty...
My trembling fingers are numb.
The streetlights are clicking on.
Mist? Ah, my breath. It’s manifesting.
There aren’t any cars in sight.
I can see a young girl running home.
Her umbrella’s inside out...darn wind.
A bolt of lightning blazed through the sky.
It’s burned into my retinas.
Lovely.
My nose is starting to run.
Sniff. Sniff.
I can see a young man staring at me through his window.
What do you want?
Ah, he probably thinks I’m weird.
Ok then. That’s fun.
Time’s ticking slowly by.
It’s stealing my sanity.
Where are you?
The sky’s turned black.
The sun’s presence is dearly missed.
I can hear...music...?
I can see a mother playing the piano in the house behind me.
She has a tiny daughter watching her.
She’s so cute.
A car passed a neighboring street.
Maybe this place isn’t totally deserted.
Aww, look, a kitty cat!
It’s across the street.
I’m so uber tempted to go pet it.
Darn it, where are you...?
It’s getting really cold...
I’m kinda tired, too.
I want to see you.
May I please hold your warm hand?
I’m gonna tell you today...
You know...
That I like you.
I hope you like me too.
12 years today...
I met you twelve years ago, when we were 4.
My family had just moved in here.
We had just come from the store, and my parents had bought me a balloon.
Well, me, being dumb, tripped and fell on my face.
The balloon floated off and got stuck in the tree.
You rode by on your little tricycle and stopped to ask why I was crying.
I showed you the balloon.
Like a little monkey, you climbed right up that tree and got it for me.
That started our friendship.
Haaahhh...that was a dumb story.
Why did I even think about that?
I guess we really do overly romanticize the people we care about...
Hey, are those sirens?
Something must have happened.
It’s just down the street. I’ll go check it out.
Huff. Puff. Damn asthma.
Argh, it hurts! Damn cold air!
What is that around the corner?
Ooooh, sheesh, a car crash?!
Why didn’t I hear it?!
Was I too busy spacing out...?
Oh my God...I see blood!!
Whoa! Almost slipped!
Crap, it’s sleeting!
Damn November rain...
The sirens are getting louder.
Must be almost there.
So am I.
Argh, damn sirens!
So loud! Almost there...hey!
What’s that, in the road?!
...hey, I recognize that bag...
I gave you that bag for Christmas last year.
Why’s it out here, in the road?
Are you nearby?
You’re late.
Eww, I can smell the blood.
There’s people running about.
Oh no, someone got hit!
I can see them trying to pull a body out from under the truck!
This is bad...we probably know who it was...
Who..? I recognize that hair...
Wait...
N-no...
You...y-y-you...!!
Can’t...breathe...
Cold...wha...what’s...?
NO! NOOOOO!!!!
Damn sirens! SHUT U--!!!
CRASH!!!!
Ugh...wh...white?
It’s all...white...
And...warm...
No...what about the crash...?
The cold...my heart...that...pain...?
Huh? Who’s warm hand...?
Ah? It’s you...
You finally came!
Wait, I thought you were...dead...?
Don’t give me that look...
Oh well...
I...umm...I wanted to tell you something...
I...really like you...
...huh? A warm embrace...
Such a kind heart...
A beautiful memory...
Home...?
Yes...let’s go home...

- This could be analyzed one of two ways...The whole thing was just a memory of life past...Or a bitter sweet romance...Either way so saaaad!

- Try and push it more into a poem by giving it some structure. It has the promise to be very good, now it just needs some tailoring to be perfect smile
