Anastasia did not survive.
Her father was dead, her poor mother shot,
Three hundred year dynasty soon forgot,
Her brother lay dead, too, and sisters lay dying,
And on scarlet splintered floorboards coldly lying
In a crumple, dear Ana's barely, weakly crying
Not even some minuscule hope of trying.
She died in that assassination box,
So still that she some wall of bullets caught.
The Romanovs did not survive.
