Can you hear my heart?
Feel its steady beat
For I give it to you in this tiny metal casket
Engraved, entwining are our names
Our hopes and promises
I won’t make you out to be a liar if
you don’t prove to be one
I’m done with pretend, I want to find
The one thing I love
The one person I need
Need to love and be loved
To shelter and be sheltered
But first let’s start with this tiny metal casket
I give it you with my heart inside
Be careful
It’s fragile…
