I’m leaving for good,
This dusty town holds no memories,
Just lies, rumours and regrets.
The landscape’s split and scarred with the past,
I’m more than happy to turn away and never look back.
To follow my soul.
To find the light that’s so far away.
I’ll let my head and limbs guide me,
I’ll let the spinning blades propel me further away,
Let them lead my way,
A way in which language won’t be our only barrier.
And I’ll be free,
Basking in paradise,
I’ll be happy and won’t have to worry.
I’ll live for eternity,
Knowing that nobody cared enough to stop me,
Knowing that nobody would miss me,
Knowing that I’ve broke free.

Description:
Okay, this poem has two meanings : One is that the narrator is going to slit their wrists and end their lives, and the other is that they are just going to hop aboard a helecopter and F**k off :P
So, read it twice, keeping one thought in your head at each time, and tell me if it is effective :D
(it's my first poem with 2 distict meanings, so yeah, try it and tell me if its any good) - Date: 08/11/2009
