Somewhere in the darkness,
A beacon shines its light.
A beacon of will and hope,
And everlasting might.
Somewhere in the darkness,
A man stands alone,
Fending off his heightening strife;
Things that make him groan.
Somewhere in the darkness,
He does the best he can.
He sees this wondrous beacon,
And his misery does it ban.
Somewhere in the darkness,
The man is not alone,
As he battles off his strife,
And things that make him groan.
For now, the beacon shines,
Shines its light on him.
And he sees, without a doubt,
His life is not quite so dim.

- Description: I wrote this poem after an English test. It took a while to edit whole thing to be read. It's not great, but I thought I'd give it a shot!
