• Description: It's a poem I wrote for my best friends funeral when she commited suicide. I missed her a lot ,and didn't want to lose any part of her so I wrote this a couple of years ago in her memory.Her worst fear was being forgotten, so I tried to emulate that in the poem.

Don't Forget Me

Life is a short, exciting game.

Some live for love, some live for fame.

All I want

is for you to know my name.

Please..,

Don't forget me.

Tears are shed, blood is boiled.

Grief builds up as happiness is spoiled.

Being forgotten makes your heart uncoil.

Please...

Don't forget me.

All the things we leave behind,

art, love, sometimes our minds.

Being forgotten puts us in a bind

Please...

Don't forget me.

As I die, and fly to the sky

tears will be shed,everyone will cry.

Please fret not, for my memory will never die,

As long as you don't forget me.

I know the pain of a freind who commits suicide. We must remember yes but we must go one. Thanks for reminding me to remember.

I LOVE IT! When my grandmother died my brother told me that no one ever really dies unless you forget them, and this poem.... all I can say is thank you.
