• The Toll of a Soul

Where's that beautiful Lord of Fire
whom I have come to greatly admire?
Who has come to receive my soul
as part of a measly, little toll?

If he wants me to save
I will be nothing but brave.
If he tells me to kill
    his wish is my will.

I will do anything for my owner
I am in this way no loner.
He sells me the most divine power
which I eagerly use and devoure.

    I bargained my soul
    he took it as toll
    in exchange for my ability
    to rule over this city.

    I have a strong greed
more powerful than a subconscious heed
which my lovely Lord will always feed
    my dear Prince Meade.

However I wasn't special at all
to receive his tempting call to fall.
We all just walked into his pool
and because of that we will never rule.

And so I'm forever doomed a slave
who'll never rest in a proper grave
because I gave up my precious, irreplaceble soul
for a heartless collector and his expensive toll.
