Standing in the rain
Outside dark windows
Looking in at faceless mannequins
Staring back through fake tears
I try reach out
But I'm pushed further away
And I fall to the ground
As the breath leaves my lungs
And the room begins to spin
Reaching out to the mannequins
I'm pushed further and further
And slowly I lose my thoughts
And all hope to reach out
As the takeover ends
My heartbeat begins to slow
And finally it all stops

- Title: The Takeover
- Artist: Asa Nisi Mese
- Description: I am big on mataphores, and this whole piece is a giant metaphor, and in case you don't understand, I'll explain. The mannequins are supposed to represent fake people, who try to pretend they understand when they don't. The main character is in pain, but he/she (it's undefined) reaches out to the wrong people, to the mannequinsand, because of this, eventually becomes one.
