Natural Drug
Streaks of blood red ruby,
Against the dark sapphire hue,
Rage as fierce as a living wildfire,
Engulfing the most calming waves,
Within the feeble mind.
Hatred of burning passion,
Blinds the weary trembling soul,
With the worst cynical natural drug,
Forcing out the carefully formed,
Facade of the humane.

A poem inspired by my friend.
Don't get the wrong idea, he didn't take drugs.

- i like this one also. the descriptive details within it create an image that is dark with misery.

- Both stanzas have a cycle of emotions. And the whole thing sounds like a difficult riddle. Not sure if that's what you were aiming for, but I like it.

- Gorgeous. The imagery was absolutely splendid, and the way it was put together was wonderful.
