Dawn
As night turns to day,
Dark yields to light.
Shine the sun's first ray,
With darkness locked in fight
The battle raged on,
Never a moment weak.
As each side moved it's pawn,
For the night it looked bleak.
The light shone through the dark,
As a hot knife through butter.
As a great and powerful shark
Sinking a small cutter.
Dawn delivered a final blow,
To the war-weary night.
Who sunk to the low
As morning showed its might
The night was dead,
It was fully defeated.
With its blood the sky turned red,
Only to be repeated

- I thought it was amazing how you created such a beautiful peice by describing something as simple as dawn in a warlike essence.
