Restless kid takes unfamiliar stance
Strange lad, slow to grow
Much wisdom but nothing to show
for it.
Same kid again....
Now perhaps b'side she who'll dance
for long, very long
oh yes, how strong
she is
Restless kid.
he will try his hand
perhaps to meet some superficial demand.
Oh yes, such a command
that could only come from within.
Same kid again..
perpares an answer for she who'll dance
answer to a question with fingers in romance
this answer to a question no one will ask
and yet
this lad finds himself up to the task
What is the answer?
What is the question?
It's who you ask and how you ask that count
These have answers of variable amount
Stupid kid.....
He'll say, it's not that
it isn't about that anymore
It's been so long I forgot the score
He's pissed off now, he'll slam the door.
To his mind.
Still restless kid resumes normal stance
No less a boy, no more a man
And having done all he can
Has nothing to show for it.
Same kid
Thought he might win
he waited too late
Pride and body injured, such is his fate
And still the same kid.
Had never been sure of his reply
(to she who would dance)
not certain of answers but knew he could fly
or thought!
....he didn't make it very high
The question unasked,
the answer unfound
If no one seems to care, why is he still bound?
Is it who you ask and how you ask?
Stupid kid... but he knows one thing!
He's learned what all his actions bring
It's not about that anymore
Despite the painfully obvious score
Now he's found other things to stand for
Restless kid stands still to wonder
What he will soon find
When his world's torn asunder
What will happen if he leaves it all behind?

- Good. It would have been better if you hadn't strung us along with all the "stupid kid" lines, and held our hands, guiding us through the poem. It would have been awesome if you had left it more open.
