• Description: Short poem I wrote back in high school. This was later set to music (acoustic guitar) by a friend. Unfortunately, since that was done rather late on New Year's Eve, no one remembers anymore why we set it to music, how we did so, or what in the nine hells the song sounded like.

She can’t hear you screaming

Run until your mind pulls through
She can’t see you dreaming

Run and twist your tear-stained truth
From the snarling sky
She was

One way to win
And a thousand ways to die

Keep running, running for your life

Run away, hide your hopes
Run away and crumble like a dream
Hit the ground running, hit the ground running

Run and dodge the blood-vines
Through the blackened sunshine

Run through her frozen fire
Months and lifetimes and minutes ago
She was

Run and hope she doesn’t follow
Through the steeled sunlight and
Past his rainstorm eyes
