Ship sails in bounty upon vast, crested waves,
wild sea turtles glide as school of fishes swims
beneath a fluid yarn, passing by elegant caves
while distances awake, the destination brims.
Vagrant air whiffs, evaporates through tourists
from salty seas to breathings of the wary mist.
Calmness dives in the lungs of satisfied purists
while sun's descent dims in glows of one twist.
Lonely sky loopholes around guiltless clouds
smudged in shadows of white and blue, thus
rain soaks wooden bows and sterns in shroud
as mainsail flaps, faltered in grays of distrust.
Lightning flashes, mild golden impulses strike
from beyond, creeping sojourned-like visits,
lifting fears, kicking waves, storm cackles alike
the captain who bellows & travelers who admits:
cries had flung from wide eyes to velvet tissues.
Boat swifts on the rock hard bottoms in deep,
cruise slashed by thunder's knife. Life issues
to bitter cracks, old memories fumble and weep.
In the end, a big flash looms! He sits up in sweat,
rubs his eyes and wrings his blue neckerchief.
He says a tale of warning to his friendly quintet;
tragedy victors by a dream denied by disbelief.
