• A mask,
    It hides your true ambitions,
    It keeps the evil at bay.

    You want to save them from your pain,
    You want to keep them safe,
    But they don't understand.

    They try to break through,
    They get cuts and bruises in the process,
    Your hurting them because you hide,
    But your afraid of the pain the truth will cause.

    So you hide.
    You hide behind the mask,
    The mask that cuts and hurts them,
    There's nothing you can do.
    You believe your keeping them safe.

    So the mask stays,
    And you lose them all,
    But at least they never saw the pain,
    At least they never had to suffer right?
