• You woke up this morning to your alarm going off. "Well...time to get up," you told yourself throwing off your covers. You figured you'll grab something to eat and then get ready or whatever. As long as your there by 8am, you'll be fine. After getting dressed and doing your thing, you began the long walk over to the Hokage's office. She had told you the day before that she had a special mission for you today and to get lots of sleep. You were looking forward to getting out of the village for awhile now. You hoped it would be an interesting mission. Walking into the Hokage's office, there was a sand-nin there. His name was Kankuro. You had never met him before, but you've heard rumors about him...some good some bad. You were friends with Kiba, who, although denies he needed the help to begin with, was assisted by Kankuro once and they've been friends since then. "_____, this is a co-op mission with the Village Hidden in the Sand. You and Kankuro will go and retreive this artifact from the ruins in Rice Country. Get there swiftly and back. This artifact is important." "Understood!" you replied. The both of you left Tsunade's office and headed towards the gate. "I'm Kankuro from the Village Hidden in the Sand." he said. "Yes, she mentioned that," you said, focusing on your mission. He looked kinda cute, but you wondered what's with the make-up. "Huh...do you have a name or do I have to make one for you?" he asked. "_____," you replied. "Well, _____, how about we do this mission? The sooner we get back the more time I have to get to know you." he said with confidence. "The only thing you'll get to know is my backside from trying to keep up." you said sarcastically before taking off into a full sprint. You were ahead of him by a lot. You were impressed though, he could actually maintain his speed behind you. Once you made it to the Rice Country, you quickly identified the ruins. Kankuro had just managed to catch up with you, but before he could say anything, you were off again. Glancing behind you, he sighed then began to run again. You laughed. You got to the ruins and found the artifact. Again, he caught up with you and you were gone again. This time, you didn't stop until you got back to Konoha. Once you got to Lady Tsunades office, you waited for Kankuro to catch up. Once he did, you asked, "Are you ready or do you need a moment?" He looked at you with a half-smirt, "I'm perfectly fine!" "Good," you said, opening the door to her office. After getting praised by Lady Tsunade, you left her office, leaving Kankuro in your dust. Passing by the river on your way home, you saw Kankuro. He had his hood down and he was looking out at the water. You smirked. You had to admit, he was pretty good to keep up with you like that. "Hey Kankuro!" He turned and you saw his face without any make-up. "Wow, he's cute!" You thought to yourself. "I have to admit. I'm a little impressed you kept up with me today...with a little practice you might be able to catch me next time." You winked, and he smirked. Before he was able to say anything, you said your goodbyes. "Well, I have to go. See you next time!" You shouted as you took off again. When you arrived at your house, you found a note on the door. Curious, you asked your neighbors if they had seen anyone put it there. They hadn't, so you removed it. Leaning against your door, you read the letter. "Dear _____, Meet me on the bridge at 9pm tonight. -- Secret Admirer" Seriously? You thought. "Well, looks like I have plans tonight..." you said to yourself. Taking the full two hours to get ready, you wanted to make sure you looked good for whoever you kissed or dismissed. You had a reputation to uphold. Getting there, you decided to climb the tree nearby so you could identify your admirer first. When 9pm came around, you suddenly felt yourself jump out of the tree. When you landed, you were confused and looked up to see Kankuro controlling you with Chakra strings. "Is this the only way you can catch a girl?" you said sarcastically. He pulled you towards him before releasing you. "No, but it's helpful. Now can you close your eyes for me or do I have to make you?" he said with a smirk. You closed your eyes and he kissed you on the cheek. "Walk with me?" he asked. You smiled and nodded before taking a stroll. The two of you talked about many things before you realized it was getting late. "Well, I better get going. It's late and I'll probably have another mission early tomorrow." Before you were able to sprint off, Kankuro grabbed your hand, pulling you into a kiss. The two of you stood there for a minute only inches apart. "I'm glad I got put on a mission with you, _____" he said. "Why? Did you enjoy watching my backside all day?" you said sarcastically. "No....well....yes..but I'm glad I found a girl worth chasing." You smiled and kissed him again before wiggling out of his arms and running out into the distance. "I guess that means I'll be seeing a whole lot more of you then?" you said with a confident smile as you waved goodbye and disappeared. He smiled as he watched the dirt around where you had been standing settle. Kankuro and you had been together since, making weekly visits and often being put on missions together.
