• It was night, everyone was asleep except the two girls, Jubilee and Vanessa who were in the kitchen, Vanessa eating coffee flavored ice cream while Jubilee ate a box of cookies. They stand on opposite sides of the table, "you eat normal food, but you're a vampire", Vanessa said while digging her spoon into the ice cream, Jubilee shrugs her shoulders, "so what, why do you care?!", she said while stuffing her face with another cookie, "I don't care, I think its just weird", Vanessa said before grinning, Jubilee chuckles, she uses the back of her hand to wipe away the cookie crumbs from her mouth.

    "You should watch what you say, before you say it or else something bad might happen", Jubilee said before placing the box of cookies down on the counter behind her.

    Vanessa left the spoon in the ice cream, "I wont be watching what I say any time soon, so you might as well deal with it", Vanessa told her before crossing her arms over her chest.

    Now they were looking at each other, "I never did like you", Jubilee admits, a low growl coming from her, "same here", was all Vanessa said before frowning. Jubilee reaches over and grabs a kitchen knife, then hurled it at her, Vanessa ducks in time to run right for the exit, but Jubilee was already there, blocking her off, "you think you can leave after what you said!", she said before punching her in the face hard enough to knock her back. With out thinking, Vanessa took Jubilee's arm, pulling her down just enough for her to reach over and punch her right back in the face, the force making her stumble over and fall down, creating a loud thud. Both dazed, blood oozing out of their mouths. Vanessa watched as Jubilee stood up slowly, with enough since left she forced herself up, "AHH!!", she thrusts herself at Jubilee, but she quickly pushed away from Vanessa who fell down hard, creating an equally loud thud.

    Up stairs Emma had been grading a few papers until she heard a loud bang, her eyebrow raised, and before she knew it she was out the door and down the hall, the sound of glass breaking made her walk become a run. Emma heads down steps where she heard her name being called, "Ororo?", turning around she could see that Ororo was as worried as she was, "I came to see what all this noise was about", Ororo told her, Emma frowns, "as was I", she said before heading down the steps along with Ororo. Emma gasped once she had seen the kitchen, almost everything was either dent or destroyed, "what could have done this?", Emma looks out the broken window to see two figures, to familiar ones at that, "outside", Emma said as she ran for the door along with Ororo.

    Jubilee's eyes turned a glowing red color, her fangs showing, "I'm going to kill you", she said before using her speed throw Vanessa off, "in your dreams!", Vanessa yelled. She watches Jubilee zoom past her a few times before Jubilee actually hit her, sending her back a few feet before falling on the ground, "gah!", she clutched her stomach, the force had knocked the air right out of her, she gasps for air, but Jubilee doesn't stop just yet, she picks her up by the collar, her knee slams into her gut about twice before punching her right in the face. Vanessa fly's back from the force of the punch, the only thing stopping her was a near by tree, "ngh....", she clutches her side in pain, spitting out a bit of blood she pushes herself off of the tree, "stop holding back Vanessa", Jubilee said, her hands on her hips, she chuckles, an amused smile on her face. That smug look on her face pissed her off so much, she just wanted to rip it off her face and shove it down her throat, "this isn't fare, you can easily heal your wounds", Vanessa said before running towards her, and then vanishing once again, her speed becoming so great that after images would appear when ever Jubilee would take a swing at her, "too slow", Vanessa said, Jubilee turned around, but she wasn't behind her, "stop running!" , Jubilee yelled.

    Vanessa frowns, "I'm sorry, you told me not to hold BACK!", her fist connects with Jubilee's mouth so hard that she could feel at least one tooth break, but before Jubilee could let out a pained moan, Vanessa vanished again this time appearing on her right, she punched her right in the jaw, she vanishes again, this time in front of her, "AAH!!!", Vanessa upper cuts her, the force snapping her head back, along with the rest of her body. Jubilee falls on her back, hard, "you're lucky I wasn't.... using all of what I had.... that was just the tip of the ice burg", Vanessa told her. Looking up from Jubilee she could see teachers out, she could tell that they weren't happy at all, especially Logan, Vanessa knew he had the strongest bond with Jubilee. Logan ran towards the two, along with Ororo, Scot, Emma, Hank, Kurt, Rogue, and Remy. Vanessa backs up, pain suddenly running through her, now that the adrenaline had worn off the pain was getting to her, Logan checks up on Jubilee, of course, this would probably hurt her bond with Logan, "what the heck were you two thinkin!", Logan yelled, Vanessa slowly backs away, she knew his anger was directly towards her, she turns her head, not wanting to look at him, "she started it", she said before looking back, this time he had made his way over towards her, the look in his eyes scared her, she looks away from him, he takes her by the collar, lifting her off the ground only an inch or two, "you got a lot or nerve!", Logan snarled. Vanessa felt pain shoot all through her body, "ngh", Remy stood in the back near Rogue, she could see the anger on his face, but before he could do anything Hank placed a hand on his shoulder, "let her loose Logan, don't you see she is in pain", Hank said, he was worried for the two girls, but Jubilee could heal quick, "take her!", he said with a growl before putting her down roughly, she stumbled, almost falling back but Ororo held her from behind, Vanessa watched as Logan took Jubilee in his arms, he acted like she was the who did all this, "I hate you", she said in a low voice only Logan could hear, she saw him stop for a second then kept going.

    "Camping....", she said while messing around with the silver looking collar around her neck, Ororo hated the necklace as much as she did but it was for her own good, "it will be fun, and plus you can get away from the mansion", Ororo told her, but Jubilee was coming, "no, I don't feel like it", she said before going back to her home work, the sound of thunder was heard, and then a flash of lightning, Vanessa dropped her pencil, got up from her desk and stood before Ororo, "you think you're the only one who can get mad!", Vanessa yells, "because I can get as mad as YOU!!", her voice breaking into a shout, "you're not the one with a goddamn dog collar around your neck!!!", at that point she had tears running down her cheeks, Ororo tried to pull her into a hug but Vanessa pulled away, "no! Just, leave me alone!", she said before running past her. Closing the door to her room she walks over towards the bed and sat on the edge, she pulls on the collar as hard as she could, but it wouldn't break at all, "uuh!!", she used both hands now, but still, nothing

    A knock on her door made her flinch, "Vanessa.... it's me", Logan said, she felt a rise of anger, "go away!", she said, but he does the total opposite, the door opens and Logan walks into her room, she cursed under her breath, she forgot to lock the door, "I don't want to hear anything you have to say", Vanessa told him as she got up from her bed and walked towards her balcony, "listen kid", she could hear the pleading in his voice, even through his frustrated growling, "you're wasting your time Logan, just leave", she tells him before opening the doors to the balcony, then shutting them on his face, she could hear him growl in pain, that's what he gets for standing up for Jubilee! She thought. The doors swing open and a rather pissed off Logan stands before her, "look here- -?!", Vanessa cut him off with her out burst, "no! You look here, BUB!", Logan's facial expression turned from angry to surprised at her sudden aggression, "how could you just take Jubilee's side?!", Vanessa told him, she felt like punching him, but that would have to wait until after she as done, "I know we both did a lot of damage, to the school, and to ourselves, but you didn't have to place your anger at me", her voice lowers, "you had this, look in your eyes, like, if you had the opportunity you would have taken me on to protect her", she told him.

    Her back turns towards him, "and that scared me", she told him before crossing her arms over her chest.

    Logan watched as she tugs on the silver necklace, "but the worst part was you agreeing along with the others", she turns around, to face him, "I hate you", she said before crying, "why would you agree to that!", with out even thinking she had slapped him across the face, she knew the pain wouldn't last long because of his healing factor. She gasped, Vanessa pulled back her hand, "Logan, I'm sorry.... I", she said, tears began to form, making her eyes glisten in the suns light, "I just, can't believe", she covers her face with her hands, "I don't want to believe it", Logan was silent the whole time, hearing her cry out only made it worse. He slowly pulls her into his embrace, she cried until nothing was left anymore, "you okay kid?", Logan asked as he looks down at her, "huh?!", she was asleep! He took her up in his arms and brought her into the room, placing her on the bed and then leaving.

    Morning came quick, Ororo had made her way in Vanessa's room while she still slept, along with Kurt who stuck around to pray for her, she would pretend to sleep just so she could hear him pray in his German language, "Kurt", he jumps back, his hand placed on his chest, "oh mein gott...." Kurt said, Vanessa smiled softly, "sorry about that", she couldn't help but snicker, "are you going camping?", she asked while pulling he covers over her mouth, recovering from his little scare he walks over to her, his three fingered hand placed on her shoulder, "vhy yes, is there somezing the matter?", Kurt watched as she sat up, "no, nothings wrong, I just wanted to know", she told him, Kurt was about to speak once more, but Scott came into her room, "we're about to head out go, you ready?", Kurt nods his head, "ja, just a second", Scott heads out of the room, then that's when he figured it out, "you're not going?!", a sudden sadness came over Kurt, "vhy?", his voice was a low whisper, she hesitated for a moment before speaking, "because I don't want to Kurt, that's just all there is to it", she said before getting off of her bed, "you should hurry before they leave", she tells him. He could tell that she didn't want to talk about this any further, so he vanished, leaving her alone.

    Walking over by the window she could see everyone heading to the van, Scott and Ororo ride in his car while Hank and Kurt go in the van. The sound of her growling stomach pulled her attention off of the group, "oh, I forgot", she said with a chuckle, Vanessa ran out of her room, grabbing a pair of jean shorts on the way out and quickly placed them on while heading down the hall towards the stairs. Finally placing them on she made her way down the steps where she met Rogue, "hey Rogue!", Vanessa said, she was happy to see her, Rogue smiled, "why in such a hurry?", she questioned, the sudden growl in her stomach made Vanessa smiled sheepishly, "there's your answer" she said while heading into the kitchen along with Rogue, "so, I heard that you got into with Ororo", Rogue said before sitting in a chair, Vanessa looks at her, "what makes you think that?", she said while placing a bowl on the table, Rogue looked at her with that 'come on' type of face, "she was crying her eyes out yesterday", Rogue told her, "that explains the constant rain last night", Vanessa mumbled to herself while. She made Ororo cry, and to make it worse, she had been ignoring her apologies when she entered her room, "I feel like a total jackass", Vanessa said while sitting in a chair, "but how is she going to expect me to be happy after what she agreed to", she tugs on the silver collar around her neck, "and Jubilee doesn't get one!", the sound of foot steps brought Rogue and Vanessa's attention towards the direction it came from, it was Logan and the thought from yesterday made her head hurt, "mornin'", he said while reaching over and pulling a seat and sitting upon it, "so what's new", Rogue said while taking Vanessa's bowl of cereal and taking a spoon full of it, Vanessa gasped, "Rogue!", Logan smiled, "camping", Logan said, the two girls look at him in surprise, "but all the cars are taken except your motorcycle", Rogue began", and frankly, three people can't fit on a bike", she finished. Vanessa saw the grin on his face, "what are you thinking, Logan", she said while taking back her bowl of cereal which was almost half way gone.

    "I'm thinkin' we take the X-Jet", he said before leaning back in his seat.

    Rogue looked at Logan, her face serious, "are you kiddin', the X-Jet is only for missions", she said, "and what if the Professor finds out, what then?"

    Logan leans up a bit, "and so what if he does?", he said before placing his hands on the back of his head, "it ain't like he'll spank ya or anythin' like that", Logan said before sniffing the air, "you can stop hiding now", Logan said. Vanessa and Rogue watch as Kitty comes from through the wall, "so much for ease dropping", she says before waving at the three, "so, you guys are going camping?", she said, a bit of excitement in her voice, "like, can I come?", all three look at her, "I thought you were the in door's type of gal", Vanessa said while grinning, "you always complain about getting dirty and what not", she finished. Kitty frowns, "no way! Not all the time", Rogue raised an eyebrow, "sure".

    Before they knew it they had packed their things and flew off in the X-Jet.
