prologue
as Dawn broke through the lavender curtains known as the sky, the wind blew in a steady, even breeze, constantly, the same. Nobody knew how it was, or why it was, but they didn't bother to question it. They shrugged it off as though it where just another part of their dull, everyday lives. There might very well be some truth in it, though. But then again, it's a question that would be like saying; "Why are you alive?" ..."why?" .. who intercepted my thoughts? The man thought blocking out his previous questions, the strange voice, familiar but not regarded. It was a female, but he wasn't sure if he had herd the voice before. It's like someone messed with his memories, and stole them, ripped them from his mind. "Alec.." the gentle voice whispered his name, as a mother cooing to her infant would. "who...who are you?" he tried to ask it, not sure if this was reality, or fiction. His mind was swayed by this thought. "you shouldn't be asking me that Alec..you should be asking yourself." the voice returned her response, subtle. "I know who i am though!" he replied, body tense, eyes darting to the corner, then up at the ceiling. As though looking for the person. When something caught his eye, a strand of pink, his whole body shook violently, slightly unaware, then collapsed onto his knees, eyes going blank.
in the deep conscious, a new voice emerged, seeking the girls for advice. "Alice...is he really the one you truly desire..?" the deep voice rasped with age, the gray haired man was not certain of in-trusting his daughter with such a helpless creature. But from the obvious way her eyes shown, he knew he had no choice but to accept and respect her decision. "yes father, he's the one that will open my heart, and wonderland." the man sighed, nodding solemnly. "very well Alice. I'll agree to the terms, but only to save the kingdom." he said in a slight defiance. Waving his hand over the body to feel the pressure of the man's soul, vibrating off of him like rays of sunlight. Beginning the ritual to transport him into the realm. "I call upon the ancient's to sacrifice their strength, and power to bring this mortal into a state of absolute purity. Bring him in safety and guide him with your wisdom. Teach him the moral codes of wonderland, and the ultimate price. Allow him to learn these lessons and use them for the greater good. Bring forth his solitude, and accept his physical body, mind and soul, and transform it into a vessel that will be able to live between these dimensions." he recited the words, that have been preformed countless Millennia's, the beings that would save his country, his world.
the girl watched, silent, and expressionless. Knowing this ritual all to well, feeling bad for the man she had chosen, but yet, at the same time having no regrets. As her father finished. She walked over to the body, flat on the metallic table, looking up into her fathers eyes. "It had to be done." she said simply, looking along, examining the younger male. "I know" he replied, worried about the future damage the physical body might endure. Being sure to have it examined and looked over 24/7. "Alec is an unusually strong human though, he will contain his burden well, Alice. You mustn't let yourself stress over his well being." he said more warmly, protective of his only child, whom he would do anything for her happiness. "I-I know father..it's just..his destiny is all.." she whispered, reaching out to embrace her father, eyes never leaving the man. "It's one he must succeed in, true. But is it not the same for everyone else?" he whispered, stroking through her long, silky pink hair. Feeling her head nod in response to his question. "it's true, i only wish he didn't have to suffer so much to achieve it though..."
