***[Hyrule Castle Throne Room]***
"Link, you seem a bit distracted. What's wrong?" Zelda asked in concern. Link let out an uneasy sigh, trying to compose himself. "I wanted to speak with you about something. It's about this dream I keep having." he replied. Zelda gave him a curious look. "Can you describe to me what your dream was about?" she asked, standing near the window. Link walked up next to Zelda and stood by her side. He took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. "I was walking through the Lost Woods with Mitako at night, just enjoying each other's company. Out of nowhere, the sky turned dark and a thunder storm started. Mitako stopped in her tracks and started looking around. A few moments later, the wind began to get somewhat louder. That's when I heard her screaming in fear. I stopped long enough to turn around as I drew my weapon in case of a fight. Once I did, Mitako was gone. All I could hear was the sound of evil laughter." Zelda glanced out the window for a bit. "Was there anything significant about your dream that you remember?" she asked. Link paused a moment, collecting his thoughts. "I don't know, the rest was all a blur." he replied. "I'm sure it will come back to you in time." Zelda reassured him. Link gave a small smile. "Yeah, you're right." he replied.
***[Meanwhile at Lake Hylia]***
"Well, here we are! Sorry if the ride was a little rough." Robert said apologetically. "Oh no, not at all. How can you run so fast and not get tired afterwards?" Mitako asked curiously as she got off of Robert's back. "It's a gift of sorts. I don't get tired al that easy, plus I can't die. So in a way, I've had a lot of time to perfect my fighting skills." he replied. "Really, but how can you not die?" Mitako asked. A strange armor began to appear on Robert's body. "This armor is known as the Infinity Armor of Chaos. It chooses who wears it, and when it makes its choice, the person becomes immortal." he explained, feeling a bit saddened at the thought. "I'm sorry." Mitako apologized. Robert only smiled. "Hehe, don't be. If it wasn't for this armor, I wouldn't have met any of my good friends, even you and Zelda." he replied. Mitako blushed, her face turning slightly pink. "Um, how do we get inside?" she asked. "We'll swim, but I don't think you can go that deep in water." said Ruto. "Yeah, either that or we can teleport there... Huh?" Robert said, turning to see Ruto. "Wow, it's a mermaid of some sort." he exclaimed in surprise. "I'm not a mermaid, I'm a Zora." Ruto said. Robert only gave a cunfused look. "A what now?" he asked. "A Zora, we're half human, half fish, only we don't have tails like a fish." Ruto explained simply. "Excuse me, do you know the quickest way into the Water Temple?" Mitako asked timidly. "Yes, but you'll have to do a lot of swimming." Ruto replied. "By the way, I'm Ruto, Princess of the Zoras and the Sage of Water." she said, introducing herself with a kind smile. "Ano, watashi wa Mitako desu." Mitako said shyly, giving a slight bow. "My name is Robert, glad to meet you miss Ruto." Robert said, also giving a slight bow. He shook a bit at the thought of Ruto's suggestion. "I'm honestly not a really good swimmer, so I think I'll just stick to teleporting there." he said.
The wind began to slightly pick up speed. Mitako looked around, staying silent for a bit. "Hey, are you alright Mitako?" Robert asked curiously. "Shh, kikimasu!" Mitako said. She began to walk across one of the bridges, following the sound of someone playing music close by. "Where are you going?" Ruto asked as she followed behind Mitako along with Robert. "I can hear music." Mitako replied. She walked into a large cave, seeing a woman with aqua colored hair playing her violin. The woman stopped playing, seeing Mitako approach. "Hello Mitako, it's been a while!" she greeted with a smile, putting down her instrument. "Michiru-chan!" Mitako said, running up to hug the woman happily. Michiru hugged Mitako, kissing her forehead affectionately. "Who are you?" Robert asked the woman. Michiru let go of Mitako. "My name is Michiru. I'm Mitako's aunt." she explained with a kind smile. "Glad to meet you, I'm Robert." Robert said, returning the smile as he shook Michiru's hand. "I've been expecting your arrival little one." Michiru said to Mitako. "You have?" Mitako asked curiously. "Indeed she has." Ruto replied. "This is where your first trial begins." Shadow Link said, walking in to the cave. Robert turned around as he saw Shadow Link approach. "What are you doing here?" he asked suspiciously, getting into his fighting stance. "I'm here to help out with Mitako's trials, not start a fight." Shadow Link replied simply. "It's ok Robert, he's a friend." Mitako said defensively. Robert relaxed his stance. "How do you know?" he asked Mitako. "He saved my life last night. I trust him." Mitako said honestly. Robert turned back to face Shadow Link. "I'm sorry, please forgive my rudeness. I almost mistook you for an enemy." he apologized. "It's alright, I forgive you." Shadow Link replied, giving a slight nod.
Michiru turned to Mitako. "Are you ready to begin?" she asked, picking up her violin. Mitako let out a nervous sigh, nodding shakily. Michiru began to play her violin while Mitako sang.
"She walked to the mailbox
On that bright summers day
Found a letter from her son
In a war far away
He spoke of the weather
And good friends that he'd made
Said "I'd been thinking 'bout dad
And the life that he had
Thats why I'm here today
And that the end he said
You are what I'm fighting for
It was the first of the letters from war
She started writing
You're good and you're brave
What a father that you'll be someday
make it home
make it safe
She wrote every night as she prayed..."
Mitako's voice began to tremble a bit as tears fell down her face, yet she continued the song.
"Late in December
A day she'll not forget
Oh her tears stained the paper
With every word that she read
It said "I was up on a hill
I was out there alone
When the shots all rang out
And bombs were exploding
And thats when I saw him
He came back for me
And though he was captured
A man set me free
And that man was your son
He asked me to write to you
I told him i would, oh I swore"
It was the last of the letters from war
And she prayed he was living
Kept on believing
And wrote every night just to say
You are good
And you're brave
what a father that you'll be someday
Make it home
Make it safe
Still she kept writing each day
Then two years later
Autumn leaves all around
A car pulled in the driveway
And she fell to the ground
And out stepped a captain
Where her boy used to stand
He said "mom I'm following orders
From all of your letters
And I've come home again",
He ran into hold her
And dropped all his bags on the floor
Holding all of her letters from war
Bring him home
Bring him home
Bring him home."
Michiru played the last few notes of the song as Mitako finished. "That was beautiful." Robert said with a smile as he and Shadow Link both applauded at Mitako's performance. Mitako smiled back, wiping the tears from her eyes with one hand. "Thank you." she replied. Michiru put her violin away in its case. She then turned to Mitako, seeing the tears in her eyes. "You did wonderful!" Michiru said, wrapping her arms around Mitako in a hug. Mitako returned the embrace. "I love you, aunt Michiru. Thank you so much!" she whispered. "You're welcome Mi-chan, I love you too." Michiru whispered back as she let go, smiling kindly. Mitako then hugged Robert. "Thank you for helping me get here." she said greatfully. Robert returned the embrace. "Any time! You really are a wonderful singer." he replied with a kind smile. Mitako let go of him, smiling back. "Do you really think so?" she asked. "I honestly do Mitako." he said.
"So, you're the one who dares to stand in my way." said a male voice. Robert turned around, seeing a strange man with black wings. Mitako gasped in surprise as she stood there staring at the familiar man. Michiru frowned as she too saw the mysterious man appear before them. "And just who are you?" Robert asked suspiciously. Ashala gave an annoyed look as he raised his hand, throwing a fireball in Robert's direction. Robert jumped to his left, dodging the attack with ease.
"You've got a lot of nerve trying to take me on." he said. "Foolish human, your power is nothing compared to mine!" Ashala replied. "You want to bet?" Robert said, taunting him with a smirk. He transformed into a Saiyan with little effort. "Is that all? That's nothing!" Ashala said with an evil smirk, chuckling menacingly. "Heh heh, want to know the best part? This isn't even half of my power." Robert replied. Ashala's expression changed from annoyed to shock in an instant. "What!?" he exclaimed. Once again, Robert transformed, this time into a Super Saiyan 3 without trying. "Impossible, how can you have this much power?" Ashala asked, feeling somewhat angered. "Oh, about at least ten thousand years of training and I'm still not even at half of my power. In fact, this isn't even a quarter of my power, but it should be enough to put you in your place." Robert explained simply.
"Did you say ten thousand years? Then that means..." Ashala trailed off in surprise. "Yep, you got it. I'm immortal, and I'm immortal because of this, the Infinity Armor of Chaos. Now then show me what you got!" As Robert spoke, his armor appeared on his body. Ashala attacked him again, but Robert didn't flinch, blocking the strike with incredible speed. "Is that the best you got?" Robert asked. "Hardly." Ashala replied as he threw Robert into a wall, causing him to hit the ground upon impact. "Now that was just low!" Robert said as he stood up, dusting himself off. "You will not stand in my way!" Ashala said somewhat angrily. Robert then threw an uppercut punch at Ashala, followed by a drop-kick. "And you wont beat me here, not now, not ever!" he said. "Ugh, damnit!" Ashala said angrily as he felt the impact of Robert's strikes.
"Tell us what the hell you're doing here oni-teme!" Michiru said, frowning angrily as she stood in front of Mitako protectively. Ashala gave an evil smirk, looking directly at Michiru. "Ah, so we meet again guardian. It's been a long time." he said with a twisted smile. "I thought we banished you for good. How the hell did you escape Ashala? Tell me!" Michiru said, getting into a defensive stance. Robert gave a mixed look of curiosity and confusion. "What seal?" he asked. "It's a long story, I'll explain later." Michiru said. The dark prince only stared at Mitako with a small, evil smile. "I guess I've underestimated your friend. Farewell for now!" he said as he vanished, chuckling menacingly.
Mitako gave a sigh of relief. "Finally, he's gone." she said. "Um, I wouldn't be so sure you guys." Ruto replied. Michiru looked around cautiously. "What do you mean?" she asked. A soft ray of light decended from the sky as three voices spoke from above. "Sir Robert, now is the time to begin your first trial." Din said. "Well done Child of Light. You have passed your first trial." Nayru spoke to Mitako. "Thank you Nayru." Mitako replied with a confident smile. "As for you Robert, your first trial is of Will. In order for ye to pass, ye must overcome thy greatest challenge; Ye must fight yourself." Din explained.
A dark heartless that looked exactly like Robert began to form from his shadow. "Well, if this is my trial, then I'll have to throw it all away and let loose all my power." Robert said as a second keyblade appeared in his left hand. "NO MORE HOLDING BACK!" he shouted. Robert began to transform, his hair growing longer as it turned a bright golden yellow. Mitako just stood there in awe, for she could sense his stong aura. 'How can he possess such power? He's really strong!' she thought in amazement.
The creature ran out of the cave towards a larger grassy area with more room to maneuver. Robert chased after the Heartless, easily catching up to it as he landed a few hits on the creature. The Heartless struck back with all its might at Robert. The battle lasted for a few hours, until finally the Heartless had vanished. Robert fell to his knees, for he was worn out from the fight. He sat there breathing heavily as his heart beat rapidly in his chest.
Mitako ran to where the battle had taken place with Michiru and Dark Link close behind. "ROBERT!" Mitako called to him as she kneeled down on her knees by his side. "Robert, are you alright?" she asked in concern. "I'm fine, don't worry." he replied with a tired smile. "Is everything alright?" Dark Link asked them as he approached them. "We did it! We passed our first trials!" Mitako said in excitement. "Yeah, we sure did!" Robert replied.
Just then, both Link and Zelda came walking up to the small group. "Good heavens, what happened?" Zelda asked as she saw Robert sitting on the ground all worn out. Michiru turned to look at Zelda. "Both Mitako and Robert have passed the first of their trials M'lady." she explained. "What kind of trials?" Link asked. "The goddesses have given them three trials. Mitako's first was the Trial of Courage, while Robert's was the Trial of Will. Both were to take their first respective trials here at Lake Hylia." Dark Link replied. "I see what you mean." Zelda replied. "Yes, but what's the purpose of these trials?" Link asked curiously. "Each of these trials has a lesson in which Mitako must learn in order to unlock her hidden powers." Michiru told them in a serious voice. "What do you mean hidden powers?" Mitako asked with a confused look on her face. Michiru looked at her niece and let out a small sigh. "You my dear have been sent here for an important reason." she said simply.
"I believe I found something that belongs to you Mitako." Dark Link said, holding out the small four pointed star shaped pendant. Mitako looked back at him in surprise. "Thank you so much!" she said, giving Dark Link a hug. "You're welcome." he replied with a small smile, returning the hug. Shadow Link let go of Mitako. "Where did you find that pendant?" Michiru asked him. "It was on the ground near this tree. Once I picked it up, I heard a voice." Shadow Link said. "What did it say?" Robert asked curiously. "It mentioned something about someone called the 'Guiding Light of the Stars' I think." Shadow Link replied.
Mitako took the pendant in her hand. A bright blue four-pointed star symbol appeared on her forehead, glowing brightly. "Wh-what's going on?" she asked in confusion, staring at the pendant. Mitako closed her eyes as the light engulfed her body. "STARLIGHT GALACTIC POWER! MAKE-UP!" Michiru smiled. "So you've finally awakenened, Sailor Starlight." she said. "Who Me?" Mitako asked, still somewhat confused. "Yes, you my dear. I'm so proud of you!" Michiru replied happily. The light from the pendant glowed brightly, surrounding Mitako's body as she transformed into her Sailor Senshi uniform.
Just then, a mysterious man approached them wearing a black cloak and hood that covered his face. "There you are! Took me forever to find you! Maybe I should put a tracker on you." he said. Link turned to face the strange man. "Who are you?" he asked cautiously. "Where are my manners? Just because I have a short temper doesn't mean I should be rude." said the man as he removed his hood. "My name's Roberto Sango, I'm Robert's twin brother." he told them.
***[Back at the Shadow Temple]***
Ashala remained in his chambers, still contemplating his next plan. Just then, a mysterious figure came up behind him. "Good afternoon." the figure greeted with a slight bow. The dark prince turned to see who had spoke. "Who the hell are you?" Ashala asked him. The figure simply showed off his weapon, the Doomsday Scythe. "I am Doragis the Master Lord of Darkness and enemy of the Chaos Lord, the one you know as Robert." Doragis replied. "Is that so? Well, why are you here?" Ashala asked with a skeptical look. Doragis gave Ashala a slight smile. "I'm here to offer you my services. It seems you know nothing of Robert's ability, so here is my deal. I'll help you by revealing his power to you, and in return I want you to help me find the Doorway to the Heart of the World." he replied. "Very well, you have a deal. Now to get that half-breed of a Saiyan to show his powers." Ashala said with a slightly twisted smirk. He vanished into the darkness along with Doragis back to Lake Hylia.
***[Back at Lake Hylia]***
"It's good to meet you all." Roberto replied with a smile. "Same here Roberto." Mitako replied, returning the smile. Roberto turned to Michiru with a curious look. "So, how are you and Mitako related?" he asked her. Michiru let out a sigh as she looked back at Roberto. "She's my adopted niece. My cousin Haruka, along with her godmother Hotaru and I have been taking care of Mitako for several years." she replied. "What about her parents?" Roberto asked curiously. "They were killed in an incident." Michiru replied simply. "I see, but what sort of incident was it?" he asked. Mitako let out a somewhat shaky sigh as she looked back at Roberto with a serious expression. "That is something I would rather not discuss at the moment." she said simply. "Haruka and I will explain that later. Now is not the time or place for such matters." Michiru replied in a serious tone. "Ok, I understand. Sorry if I've upset you Mitako." Roberto said to Mitako apologetically, giving a slight bow. Mitako gave a small, shy smile. "Hey, it's alright. I forgive you!" she replied. "You're not mad, are you?" Roberto asked her. "No, not at all!" Mitako replied, still smiling shyly.
"Well, I guess we should get going." Robert said. Just then, Doragis fired off a ki shot at the group from long range. Robert quickly grabbed ahold of Mitako around her waist from behind and teleported her out of the way in the nick of time, easily avoiding the hit. He then turned to see Doragis, glaring angrily. "DORAGIS, I'LL CRUSH YOU FOR THAT!" he yelled in fury as a dark aura surrounded his body, transforming him into his primal mode. Doragis appeared several yards near them both as Robert lounged at him.
Mitako just stood there in shock as Robert had changed, for she could sense his strong dark aura bursting with such unnatural power. 'How could he possibly be this powerful?' she thought in wonder. Mitako wanted so desperately to help Robert, but she remained frozen in that spot, unable to move as she watched them. "Kuso, I hope he doesn't do anything wreckless." she said through clenched teeth. Roberto walked up to Mitako from behind and stood next to her on her right. "Hey, relax. Just let him deal with this alone." Roberto said, noticing her somewhat tense stance. Mitako looked over at Roberto with a somewhat worried expression. "But... what if he needs help?" she asked, her voice almost near panic. Roberto looked back at Mitako with a soft, kind smile. "Don't worry, he'll be fine." he said reassuringly as he gently wrapped one arm around her shoulders, watching the fight as well.
Doragis shot multiple volleys of aura blasts at Robert, trying to catch him off-guard. Robert dodged as many as he could, going left, right, left, right. He then came close to Doragis, firing a few aura blasts back at him while throwing several fast punches at his face. Doragis however had the upper hand, dodging most of Robert's strikes and landing a few blows of his own. The fight went on for what seemed like hours until Robert began to tire out. "Looks like I won. See you around Robert!" Doragis said as he vanished.
Robert let out an angry roar, enraged that his opponent had just up and left as he stood there breathing heavily. Mitako quickly ran down the hill to where the battle took place. "ROBERT!" she cried in panic. Robert was still upset, roaring in rage at what had happened. "Robert, please calm down! It's over!" Mitako said, hugging him. Robert ignored Mitako, still enraged at what had occured. "Robert, Please listen!" Mitako pleaded, tears beginning to fall down her face. She took a few deep breaths and let them out slowly as she began to sing.
"Sometimes the darkness will fill me with fear
Sometimes I feel my worst nightmares are near
The night is so cold and I cry all alone
I cannot remember; I've lost my way home
With blackness before me and blackness behind
I turn to the heavens and there will I find
Star Light, Star Bright
The only star I see
I wish I may, I wish I might
Have just one dream granted to me
Star Light, Star Bright
It's dark and I can't see
I need your little shining light
To bring life to the Child that's here with me.
I don't fear the darkness, the nightmares, the night
For all of these things cannot drown out the light
Of the single sweet star that is guiding me home
And my heart sings for joy; I'm no longer alone
The glow from my star beams down brilliant and true
Dear Child, don't you know that this bright star is you?
Star light, star bright
The only star I see
I wish I may, I wish I might
Have just one dream granted to me
Star light, star bright
Please listen now to me
And never stop your shining
Sweet child, you are so beautiful to me."
As Mitako finished the song, Robert collapsed in her arms, too worn out to move. 'Thank heavens he's alright!' Mitako thought, smiling in relief.
