Things never seem more clear... more beautiful... More terrifying then when you are about to die. Some say everything flashes before your eyes. Others say its the longest moment of your life. For me? It was neither. I couldn't tell you just how fast or slow time passed for me. But what I can tell you is just how I felt.
My name is Liam. I am sixteen years old as of today. In fact my story takes place on my way home from my friends house. He threw me a surprise party... I was walking home at about one A.M when everything happened all at once. I felt him before I saw him. Felt his presence, His gaze, His hatred. Before I could react he charged at me and plunged a knife in my chest. I was so stunned that I didn't even feel the pain.
I fell to my knees as the energy from my body began to radically decline. I looked up to see a hooded figure standing over me holding a knife and telling me to give him my money. I didn't have any. He kicked me over and took all I had in my pockets. All I had was a picture of my girlfriend. The man said something I didn't understand and threw the picture down by my side and ran off. I lay there wondering why this was happening. I had never hurt anyone a day in my life and yet here I was bleeding and alone. I knew I was dieing.
Wanna know how I felt? I felt sad. Sad that I would never see my family or my friends or my girlfriend ever again. I was alone in a place where few people walked. I was only here because it was a shortcut home... I just wanted to be home so bad at this moment! Home safe and warm. Not alone and cold and terrified and near death. I don't know how long it had been but I had begun to feel some pain in my chest...
Time passed and I got colder. The pain stopped tho and that scared me more. I knew I wasn't getting saved. I wasn't expected home tonight. and my friends wouldn't call me until tomorrow. I guess a few hours had passed because the sun was starting to come up. I was so tired tho. A man came jogging down the path I was on. He stopped and stared for a moment then pulled out his cell phone and made a call. It was to late tho I was no longer conscious. I had no sense of time. I had no knowledge of anything except that I was dead at sixteen and it wasn't fair. The only thing that helped was the knowledge that this was happening to me and not another person.
This is where my story ends. I wish I could talk to you longer but I am just so sleepy. I think I'll just let...
