• I could hear the howls as they gained speed. Getting louder. I grasped Damon's fur in fear. He gave a low snarl from under his breath. He nudged me reassuring me every thing would be alright. Then they emerged from the trees. He got in a crouched form and snarled. His shiny white teeth showing. "Damon." I whispered as one of the wolves walked away from the pack and towards me. He pushed me aside not knowing what was happening. "Damon." I said again. This time a little louder. Then the wolf leaped. "Damon!" I screamed with all my might. The next thing you know i was on the ground and he was ripping at Damon's neck. I felt hot tears rush down my eyes. Damon fought back with all his might ripping and slashing. He pinned him down and threw him aside and looked at the others. He gave a warning and they all galloped away while the one Damon hurt limped off looking into my eyes. He looked so familiar. Damon transformed back into his human form and watched them walk away. He then turn around and i found myself running for him at full speed. I wrapped my arms around his bare chest feeling his warmth. He kissed me gently on the lips and wrapped his huge hands around my waist. "I love you" He mouthed. I smiled and saw blood drizzling down his neck. I touched it with my finger. "Your bleeding." Ge grabbed his neck where there was a deep gash piling out blood. "Shay, its nothing" he said re assuring me. I frowned and dropped my head. he lifted up my chin with his bulky hand and kissed me on the forehead. "Ill be OK Shay. I promise." And we walked away in silence.
