My name is Audrey Stirling, almost a few hundred years old and well, I didn't think about it till now. The pain, the guilt, and many other things, or i guess you could call em feelings. Being what I've been for this long you tend to forget you had any feeling at all. Looking back at my life I didn't noticed that i missed such things, until i walked down this ally and saw him again... Maybe I should fill you in a little more before I get to the present.
Through the years I have been alone, not lonley just alone. My days started in 1762; I was eighteen living in high london society. My parents, like most in those days, only thought I was good for one thing, finding a weathly suitor. They had no love for me and my brother, only love for money and thier image.
My brother and I spent most of our itme together. Our favorite pass time was ridding hourses though the feild by our estate. Sadly though the only memories i have of those days are his face and what little time i had with him. Jonathan grew very sick with some unknown illness and died at the age of fourteen. After that I spent most of my time locked in my room reading and sulking
At social events I stood away from everyone. When ever some one offered to dance or tried to start up a conversation, it seemed to easy to refuse or simply ignore them. I belive my parents sent me to some type of school after that. To tired to put up with my lack of socializing and my sulking. Wha ever the reason I'm sure it was only for thier own benefit.
My first night there they were throwing a ball. Unfortunately it was manditory, so i figrued I would attend but stand next to the wall like i had always done. I dressed in a nicest blue ball gown, the sleves cut short. and the neack was lined with a white lace as was the bottem. I pined up my very unrully brown hair, to tired to do anything extrodinay with it, and headed out to join the party. The halls were filled with the sound of laughter and music, it was almost sickening. The thought of being around people always made me quizy after Jon had died.
I made my way daon the hall to the stair case that made up most of the entrance hall and that's when i saw him.Leaning against the wall near the end of the hallway was a some what striking young man. Dressed in nicely fitting formal wear, his auburn hair pulled up into a ceat ponytail. He seemed a bit pale and to my surpise that made him extreamly handsome. As I got closer I could see the color of his eyes, almost glowing from the light in the halls, a beautiful silver blue. I almost had to stop and catch my breath.
I slowed down as i reached him, wanting to get a better lookk at his eyes. When he was almost with in reach he stepped out in front of me bowing his head then standing straight again. "How are you this evning Miss. Stirling?"
