All I know, is that I was sitting there, trying to find reason to keep going, to not look back on the past. I turned around in the chair I was sitting in, and pulled my legs up to my chest, wrapping my arms around my legs. I couldn’t tell, but I had apparently started crying. I felt like there was a black hole in my chest. As if I were being sucked in, but I was numb. I didn’t want to leave the hospital, not now, not ever, I didn’t want to leave without him.
“Im sorry… were you a relative?” The nurse had walked up to me. I wondered how she could take it, seeing people die every day. “But visiting hours are over.” How could she say that. I wasn’t visiting, and she knew that. I took a deap breath, and grabbed my over night bag. I stood up and started to walk away. Right when I got to the doors, “uh, mam’,” I turned around. “there was a package left to you.” It wasn’t much of a pakage, more of an envalope, with something heavy inside. I walked over, and she handed me the envalope. I turned it over. It was blank, so I just stuffed it in my pocket, and walked out the door.
