Two white eyes look over the Divided Kingdom. Searching...searching for something it has longed for years. Where can it be? A hodded figure appeared from the shadows of his chamber," Everything is set, your Darkness."
A low voice replied," Good...let it begin."
Down to the Divided Kingdom, a war wages on by the Wind Realm, the Water Realm, the Earth Realm, and the Fire Realm. The Wind Realm's wings hailed down on the Earth realm steadfast armies and the Water Realm's technology stood up to the blazing power of the Fire Realm. Yet, while these four fought, a dark shadow casts itself upon them. A black cloud hovered over the four realms and unleashed an army of abominations down on the combatants. Blood soaked the ground and screams rang the air. The demonic army trampled over the four armies easily, but the battlefield wasn't their only destination. Villages from the four realms are also being attacked. The Earth, Fire, and Water Realms were able to ward off the attackers, but the Wind Realm wasn't so fortunate.
In the wind-swept fields of Wind Western, an army of monster charges to the gates. Archers rush up the stairs and on their post, quickly joining the occupied defenders. Instictively, they reached back for their arrow, readied it on their bow, aimed, and hailed metal down on the ground forces outside their walls. Things seemed to be a stalemate between the defensives and the invaders, but with a blow of the horn from one of hte monsters, a dark vortex appeared above the village. Demons dropped from the vortex and within the wall with one objective: slaughter anything that moves.
Alone, in a mansion far from the village, was a little girl named Sarena. Through her window, she could see that the demons were trampling towards the mansion. Sarena ran down the winding stairs, her heart beating fast. The fire breathed from the demons shows its light from the front windows. Sarena crawled under the menacing orange light and into the kitchen. Safe for now, Sarena opened the backdoor, but then a huge red dog pops it's jaw through the doorway and snapped at her. Pushing with all her might, Sarena was able to close the door as the hell hound continously snapped its jaws at thin air. With a slam, the backdoor was close. Exhuasted, Sarena tried to catch her breath. BOOM! Her heart raced once more with the sound of the front door crashing. Sarena could hear glass shattering, wood being torn apart, and the sound of footsteps thumping louder and louder. When the demons entered the kitchen, they say nothing. The backdoor burst open. The hellhound tore down the table and began sniffing around. Hidden in a cabinet, Sarena sees the hellhound circling the kitchen then disappeared. Just when she thought the coast is clear, a huge paw breaks through the cabinet door. Sarena exploded out of the cabinet, slamming the other door at the hell hound's face and slipped past the demons.
Up the burning stairs, Sarena went with a hellhound right behind her. Finally reaching the top floor, she reached for a book and threw it down on the stairs, breaking it down to ashes. The hellhound was stopped at its tracks. With it's monstrous barks, the hellhound alerted the demons they have a runner. Spreading its wings, two demons flew to the top floor. Once they're feet touched the wooded floor, the wood was ablazed. Fire was creeping from the left and from the right. Two demons are stomping towards Sarena with they're claws barred. There's no way to excape, unless she jumps through the window behind her and safely land after a three story fall.
Fiery tracks lead towards the cornered Sarena. Two demons are about to greet her with fire. With one last strand of hope, Sarena was whispering to herself. The demons were crackling. They knew she was praying." Give it up, worm," growled one of the demons," He isn't here right now." "You only have us to play with," the second added.
"Is that right...?" replied a sly voice. Sarena wondered where it came from and so did the demons. With a crack, a long bladed whip emerged from the inferno like a snake ready to strike. One demon flew backwards avoiding the whips chop, but the second, turned to ashes when its head fell on the ground. The demon released a loud and terrorfying roar at its unknown killer. Sarena didn't know what was happening. She saw the demon roaring at something in the inferno in front of her, but second after the crack of a whip, a black metallic point showed itself clearly through the back of the demon. After the demon turned to ashes, the bladed whip slithered back into the flame, and soft footsteps were coming to Sarena.
In the smoke, Sarena can't give out a clear description, but the shape is human and she can see two purple eyes looking at her. Then another set of eyes appeared, red fiery eyes." Look out!" Sarena screamed. The hellhound leaped at the mysterious figure. A woman with long black hair and in a torn dress ran out of the fire with a limping hellhound right behind her." Hold on tight, kid," the woman instructed as she grabbed Sarena by the collar of her shirt. Running down a tunnel of fire, the woman lowered her head just before she jumped at the window. Sarena open her eyes to see if she was still alive, but time slowed down. Shards of glass scattered beside her and from the dark hole of smoke of flame, the hellhound leaped at her with its jaws open. A whip wrapped itself around the hellhound's jaw all the way to its neck. With a hard hank from the woman, the hellhound's head was twisted up-side-down.
Down below, the dead covered the streets disfigured. Fire was dancing everywhere. The demons have done their mission. They killed everyone...except one. Sarena looked up and saw the soot covered face of her rescuer. A woman probably in her late twenties, looking sternly ahead with purple eyes, annd black ong hair trailing above her back. There was one thing made Sarena curious the most. How is she still in the air? She looked back and saw black wings on the back of the woman. The shock of the discovery made Sarena gasp. All of the sudden, the wind rushes up at Sarena heavily. The woman withdraw her wings and was making a dive into the thick forest below.
The woman dropped Sarena on the ground." Ow!" Sarena yelped," Smooth just smooth."
"Don't critize me, chubby," the woman replied with a uncaring voice," If you didn't weight so much I'de fly us further than this."
"WHAT?! I'm 100 pounds!" The twelve year old Sarena yelled.
"I'm a 100 too, cupcake," the woman patted the soot off her face.
At first, Sarena thought the woman's skin was covered in soot, but the woman really have dark gray skin," Y-you're a demon..."
The woman's face was inches away from Sarena's. Her purple eyes glaring into Sarena's blue eyes." I'm...not...a...demon, got it?" the woman corrected. Sarena nodded her head," Then what are you then?"
The woman stood up tall and presented herself as one who love herself more than anything else," I...am an angel, my little peach."
Sarena's eyes widen with fantasy," Really?"
"No, lie," the woman insisted," So what's your name, squirt?"
"My name is Sarena," Sarena answered," You?"
"My name is Yin."
By the sound of the marching footsteps in the forest, Yin and Sarena knew it was time to go forward, away from the devastated village. Sarena and Yin went to the old giant trees and lept from branch to branch." Why is this happening? Where did all these monsters come from?" Sarena asked Yin." I don't know what the hell is going on, but we have to find the others."
"Others? There are more angels like you?"
"Well, not really angels. Just fruitcakes that have some exceptional skills for this kind of job."

- Title: Divided Kingdom
- Artist: BoomPrideBoom
- Description: This is the first chapter of my story. I dreamt it up a long time ago and polished it over time. It has the basic four elements (wind, water, earth, and fire) like most shows and games, but there are some differences later on.

- its good but it goes from past tense to present tense then back. that needs sortin out and a couple other gramatical errors, but the story itself is really good.
