• One late summer night, a girl by the name of Cari Halenback, droped into her old bed and picked up her book "Asleep in Canada" and started to read.
    Her mother came in said "Turn out your lights Cari, it's late and we all can see your light coming from your room."
    Cari said nothing since she wasn't aloud to argue at night. Especally this late at night. Cari looked at her alarm clock that was cracked and chipped.
    "12:30. Dang, to bad." Cari said and then turned out her light.
    But, what was the wierd thing is after Cari turned out her light, no one, in though whole world could go asleep.
    It was like young Cari Halenback controled everyone. And if you think about that, it's scary and wierd since Cari was just a normal girl who goes to school and does sports after-school and on the weekends.
    Cari looked up at her cieling. She could see her next door neighbors Ms. Koorber's light on. Wierd, thought Cari. She is usally fast asleep by now and she hardly turns on her light. Then, it just dawned on her. She's got powers. She only read about kids having super powers in books and video-games. Like "Ness" or "Lucas" from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
    Maybe, just maybe, if young Cari Halenback, this normal(Almost) girl, fell asleep, maybe all the people in this big, wide world would fall asleep.
    So, that is what she did.
    Cari fell asleep. Thpugh it took her awhile, Cari fell fast asleep.
    Suddenly, the whole world felt a wave a tiredness hit them hard, and no matter where they were, they fell asleep. Fast asleep....
