"You've got to be kidding me." He murmured. I shook my head slowly and watched him fall to his knees, groaning. "Well....Why me?" He turned his head to face him and my words caught in my throat. Every time I stared directly at his face, my heart beat faster. His aqua eyes and tanned skin always made me hesitate. "What?" He asked every time I stared at him.
"Erm...nothing." I murmured, and then my brain started working again, remembering what the original question was. "Oh...Why you...well then..." I coughed to give myself an excuse to think. "I chose you because you're best fit for the job." He stared at me funny, with one eye twitching and his eyebrows rose.
"'Best fit for the job'? Are you sure that's the only reason?" He stood and I tilted my head upward. He was a good five inches taller than me and I gulped, purposefully dropping the stick I had found only a few minutes prior. "So ...Tell me again what we're doing?" He murmured in my ear.
Gulping, I felt the blood rush to my head and cheeks. "Umm..." My voice was shaky because he, Johnathan Martinez, one of the most handsome men I know, was standing before me. "It's...umm...uhh..." I couldn't quite think and he chuckled. Oh god, that laugh could kill me where I stood. I swear, if he touches me, I'd faint. He pinned me against the back beige wall and leant forward, his eyes parallel with mine and I pressed myself against the wall as much as I could. His aqua eyes staring into my navy eyes. His left hand rose from his side and my breath caught in my throat. Very gently, he touched my cheek and his thumb grazed my lips. I could feel my head getting lighter with each passing moment. His right hand was pressed against the wall and his muscles bulged a little from the strain. "It's...uhh..."I whispered, but his thumb silenced me.
”Let's see if you can do anything else with that mouth of yours, Amber." My eyes flew open. He only called me by my first name when it was something special. Usually, he called me 'Kitsune-chan'. I couldn't quite tell you why, but he does.
He pulled back a little. "Ah ah ah...You'll only get it if you close your eyes..." Hesitantly, I closed my eyes and gulped. He leant forward and I could feel his hot breath against my neck. The hand against my cheek slid down and gently grasped my neck, bringing my head more upward. Then, his warm lips brushed against mine and I almost fainted right then and there, but I knew better. Reluctantly, my mouth flew open and I realized, so was his. He closed his mouth against my own and then opened my lips, his own tongue brushing against mine. That feel alone made me moan softly and he chuckled. He soon brought himself a little lower and I knew he had spread his legs a little to get more to my height. He lips were firmly clasped against mine and he pulled me against him. My arms slowly slid against his and entwined behind his neck. Again, I moaned softly against him and his arms slid around my waist.
“Johnathan…” I found myself muttering his name in a pause within the kiss. He smiled a little.
“You want more, do you?” I nodded a couple times, my cheeks red with embarrassment. “Well…Maybe later I can give you what you want.” I groaned and my head dropped as his arms went to his sword. “So, tell me again where we’re going and why you really need me.” Sighing heavily, I bent to pick up the stick and he made a noise.
“Alright…If you really want to know…”Standing straight, I set my hands firmly on my hips and grimaced a little. “We’re heading to our home town to take care of some demons killing off our people. Why I chose you, is, like I said before, you’re best fit for the job and the fact that it’s our own people.” He blinked rapidly and sighed heavily, his broad shoulders and his head, with a full head of charcoal hair, fell.
“Demons, eh?” He then stood upright, drawing his onyx broadsword and standing in a threatening position. “Let me at ‘em!” He growled. I smiled and giggled softly.
“’Why tally, let’s off to the castle.’” He stared at me as I spoke, quoting our favorite movie The Court Jester, with his muscles relaxing.
“’Off to the castle?’” He questioned.
I nodded, and then pointed out the window, toward the horizon, with my stick. “’Off to the castle!’”
