• Chapter 1. How will this work out?
    It was raining very hard another day I couldn’t leave the house. My brother had to get equipment for are attack at our enemies strong hold. I was kind of scared to go there. I heard that they were ready for us and I’m not one for gossip but I couldn’t help but over hear others talking. My brother finally got back with Zane and our new equipment. “Melody here you go” My brother said handing her a set of guns “This is yours Zane.” Zane took his knives “Wow there beautiful Zane” I said staring in aw. “This is mine” I started to think that he didn’t et me anything then he gave me the bag. “The rest are yours Carmen.” He said with a sly smile. I looked down at the bag and started to take things out. When I finished I looked up at him. He smiled back down at me. “What don’t you like them you wanted them for awhile so I thought I would get them for you.” I was about to protest but he stopped me. “No don’t you dare say it I know they were a lot of money but you’re my sis and I wanted to get them for you got it?” I nodded my head in agreement. “Yeah ok thanks bro” I got up and gave him a hug. I sat back down and looked at my new weapons. They were beautiful I couldn’t believe my brother bought them for me. Don’t get me wrong I was grateful he did. “So how are we going to pull this through Carmen?” Melody asked me. “Well Zane and I were talking about that before he left with Shane.” She butted in then “Well did you come up with anything?” I gave Zane a goofy look then I looked back at her. “Yeah I did with his help. Were going to dress up like them then split up and surprise attack them.” She shook her head “What?” My brother looked at her. “How will this work out? Huh? How are we going to get there clothes?” I hit my forehead. Did she just want to make it hard or did she just not get it. “Look Melody that’s were you come in your going to distract the guards so we can grab the clothes and carry on with the mission.” They all nodded although Melody still looked confused but she didn’t press the matter. You see were a group of people who have a lot of enemies. I have no Idea why but we just do I guess. “Well we should get going so we can get back.” We nodded and got ready to go. I was still nervous but gone with everyone. “Alright remember the plans.” Shane said. “Yeah yeah I heard you.” Melody said walking up to the guards and did here thing while we went to the utility closet. “Carmen you know what to do.” Shane told me I nodded and started to go inside. “I’ll be right out don’t go any were.” They looked at each other then looked back at me. “You know use we won’t do that to you Carmen.” My brother said with a Serene look on his face. “Ya, ya I heard that before.” I said going the rest of the way inside. Within moments I was gone and out or hearing and sight distance. As I climbed my way through the cases upon cases I couldn’t help but think if what we were doing was a good thing or a bad thing. ‘What if were not the hero’s…what if were the bad guy’s?’ I questioned my self truth be told as I said before I was scared. Yes I should have been scared in the first place. We were going into are enemies lair where we’re not wanted. I couldn’t understand why are group hated them so much or why theirs hated us. All I knew was they were out to eliminate all the Demons, Elves, And Humans. I hated how I always was the one to see if they were in here. If they were I would be in the wrong place at the wrong time. *DONG* ‘s**t if there in here they must have heard that’ I thought to myself. My thoughts were confirmed when I saw a man with a gun pointed at my head. “What are you doing back here and who are you?” The man asked me. Thank god I was in my human form right now. I switched as soon as I got inside so they wouldn’t kill me right off if and when they caught me. “Wait a second your with those school kids aren’t you?” ‘Huh there’s a group of kid here?’ I thought and nodded my head so he wouldn’t know that my friends and brother were outside. “Well come on Lets go” The man took my arm and started to walk me to a group of kids. “I think you have a straggler Mrs.”
    Woman looked at me and I started to freak out. ‘Don’t say please don’t say it’ I thought watching her. “She’s not in this group. I’ve never seen this young girl before.” ‘No she said it. Great now I’m dead!!” I thought I went to start running when we herd a scream coming from one of the kids in the teachers kids. “What is going on here that’s twice that has happened today?!!!!” I knew what’s going and knew I had to get the rest pf the kids and the Teacher out of harms way. “Mama I know you never seen me before but trust me you don’t want to be here it’s a human Slater house!!” I grabbed her hand and started to run for the door.     We saw a dark figure with a red cape and a sword on his back. For a second I thought that he was going to kill us but instead he moved aside and stopped are poseur and said, “Stop we can’t hurt them not yet are orders were to strictly get the kids and put them into the cells you know that Devon.” The man that was named Devon looked from me to and back to the one who had stopped him. “Fine your lucky this time girl otherwise you’d be dead now if he hadn’t stopped me.” I took a good look at the man standing in front of me. He had black hair beautiful bronze skin, charcoal grey eyes, and a very built body. He looked at me and I saw a glint of sorrow in his eyes. “You should get going if you want to live you already stopped our plans so go,” With that he disappeared with lightning speed it was hared to follow him with my eyes. I didn’t wait around long I took the girls hand and started to run faster to get out of the base. ‘I’m gana kill my bro when I get back to them’ I thought making my way to there hiding place. “Ah were we going? The kids are getting tired.” True I could see it in their eyes. “It’s not much further now.” We then made it to were my brother and Zane were. “Wow quite a group you got there huh sis?” My brother asked with a sly smirk. I got to the point I started to get angry. “You knew and you couldn’t tell me?!?!” My brother looked a little confused at my outburst. “No I didn’t….” From the look in his eye I could tell he was afraid of something but I didn’t know what.     Why are you acting like that?” I looked over at Zane and he was looking ahead. When I went to turn my head Zane placed his hand on my shoulder “Don’t move Carmen!” Zane scared me what was going on to make them act like this. I didn’t know all of a sudden I saw Shane pull my sword out of it’s sheath and run behind me. “Can I turn around now I want to see what’s going on.” I said getting annoyed at Zane for stopping me. “No…..” He didn’t finish because I turned and was stunned at what was before me. There was a demon in the middle of the day with the kids right behind me. Most of them fainted by the way. “Carmen are you ok?” Zane asked with a little worry in his voice. “Y…yeah I’m fine.” I looked back at him to reassure him and jotted over to my brother and took my hidden guns out. Shane looked at me for a second then smirked and charged to the thing. I on the other hand started to shoot my guns making sure I missed him. Soon after the demon was dead and we were erasing the groups memories. When we were done with that we went home. Over the next few months we trained for our next mission to the enemy lines.
