    “Knock! knock!” our grandma came in. “It’s time to go to bed” she said turning the lights off, and we waited for her to go.
    “Liz? can you finish the story?” asked Luci one of my cousins.
    “Ok” I said. “ Where was I?”
    “Where La Llorona kills her babies.” said Gabi.
    “Oh, right. Ok so she stabs them on there heart, dropping their lifeless bodies into the water. Then she let out this heart-wrenching cry Oh, mis hijos!, oh, mis hijos! After La llorona died her spirit stayed here hunting Mexico and the United States. She is mostly seen in a full moon, her last stop is La Plaza Major, there she gives her most desperate, horrific cry and then vanishes into the lake.”
    “Have you ever seen her or heard her?” asked my little cousin Gabi.
    “Yeah, I’ve heard her before.” I said “You know how we stay talking about myths and legends near aunt Edu? Well I was with my friends and with Blanca, I left them to go to the hill cause I forgot to get the sheep, well that’s where I heard her, it was near the river.”
    “What you do?”
    “Well I grabbed the sheep and ran down the hill till I got here.”
    “Tap, tap, tap, go to sleep.” said my grandma at the other side of the wall.
    “Ok! Who wants to sleep now??” I asked my cousins who were already sleeping.
    I couldn’t sleep so I stayed all night up thinking of my friend who had been missing for over two months now. The last day I saw her was at the river near our enemies Laura, Tavo, and Beto. It was almost 9:49 when I left. She stayed waiting for Tito who was her boyfriend.
    I couldn’t sleep so I when out side. I saw the full moon and the few stars who seem to be forming an old lady. I walked to the river where my best friend hade disappeared and that’s where I saw her. She was so beautiful and was crying. I walked up to her and asked her “why are you sad?” but the only thing she said was.. “Oh, mis hijos.” I got scared I tried to run away but she grab me. I felt cold air on my cheek and felt a warm liquid running down my arm witch covered my heart and the other covered my head. I fell into the river and I saw the water turn to red. I felt cold, and my body felt heavy. I couldn’t swim I was drowning and there was no one to save me. I felt hopeless. My breath was gone, I tried to breath but my lungs hurt. Then every thing went dark and I couldn’t talk or walk my body was useless. I heard the cry! My brain tolled me that I was in trouble, I got scared and passed out.
    I saw a light, it was bright and it called out my name it seem to say “Elizabeth, Elizabeth!” I tried to answer back but I couldn’t talk. There was no trees or sky. I knew I was dead and that I was on the bottom floor of that bloody river. I walked as the voice called out my name.
    “keep walking, your almost there” said the voice.
    I came to an end and the floor where I was walking on vanished. I fell into the darkness. I woke up at Tavo’s house. He laugh so hard that I thought he was going to pee. “ what’s so funny?” I asked him.
    “when you passed out I found you in the river. I heard you say you love me.”
    “I did?”
    “YES! Hahaha”
    I blushed. redface redface redface my arm hurt because my cut had gone so deep that I lost a lot of blood. I tried to move. I wanted to go back home, but I was weak and I fell, Lucky me that Tavo was still there, he caught me and I accidentally kissed him. Tavo and I blush, his face was as red as a tomato. He gently sat me in his bed and left with out a word. I was silent I didn’t know what to do. My mind was concentrated in the kiss.
    The next day I felt much better and I could move, but not to much only around the house. Tavo went to my grandma to give her the news. When he came back I asked him “ what did she say?”
    “She wanted to know why you came to my house and why you were staying here.”
    “And? What did you tell her?”
    “ I said you where my gir..l, my friend.” 4laugh heart
    “your girl friend?”
    “No! I told her that you where here cause you are helping me on a project.”
    “What?!?! you didn’t tell her the truth?”
    “No, I’m not crazy If I told her she would freak out and she would call the police.”
    “Yeah, your right”
    “can you let go of me?” asked Tavo.
    “I’m sorry.” he gave me a little smile and I smiled back. He went inside and I followed. I wonder why he was acting odd. When we got to the kitchen he asked “you cooked?” I smile and nodded. I served him some eggs, rice, and beans. He went to get some coke. When he was back I was finish making the tortillas. We ate and then it was time to go to sleep. Tavo had only one bed so he had to sleep with me. It was odd that I was sleeping with him, but I was glade that the bed was big. It was 2:40 am and I was awake. I heard a loud scream and I got scared again. I moved a little closer to Tavo who was sleeping like a baby. The screams came closer and closer. “Tavo, Tavo wake up!” I said.
    “what’s wrong why are you crying?”
    “she is coming back for me”
    “No, you had a nightmare that’s all.” he hugged me. We heard the screams again and the voice “oh, mis hijos! Oh, mis hijos!”
    “Aaaah! Tell me you heard that”
    “Yeah I heard it” We went outside to see what it was, but there was nothing. When we came back inside we heard it again.
    “Oh, mis hijos” Tavo went back outside.
    I was lonely and scared. I walked to the room and stayed there. I was worried about Tavo. I didn’t want for him to get hurt. Two hours passed and I kept hearing her cries, but no sing of Tavo. It was till dawn when I saw Tavo come back to the house. “what happed?” I asked. He said nothing, and hugged me. He was crying I didn’t know what to do or what to say, but I knew something was wrong. He finally stopped crying and said “Elizabeth… they found your grandma and my aunt dead and someone tried to kill me.” I stared crying, my grandma was dead she had been killed by La Llorona and all because of me. I walked back to my grandma’s house and saw my cousins who were waiting for me. They ran to hug me “Liz, It cant be why did she die??
    “I…I don’t know Gabi.” I said “Don’t cry everything is going to be ok” I took Gabi and the others to there room. Tavo witch was still there said he was sorry and that he knew what I was going threw. I stayed with my cousins and Tavo stayed there too. I went back to the river where I saw la Llorona and waited to see her again.
    I felt the cold air again and the fog was coming back. Then suddenly I was at a lake it looked like crystal water you cold see every thing down there. There was a city and bodies floating every where with chains down there.
    “Liz? Is that you?” said a voice inside my head.
    “Who are you?”
    “It’s me”
    “Who? Blanca? How can you talk to me?”
    “It’s called telepathy”
    “Where are you”
    “Down here in the city, I’m scared I only have nine hours left.”
    “What do you mean? nine hours till what?”
    “This is her lake the lake where she takes us all. She had a animal, and that animal brings us down here and chains us up.”
    “Ill get you out.”
    “No, you don’t understand if you come down here you cant go back up. He will see you and drown you before you get to me.” said Blanca.
    “Splash!” I went in the lake and I notice I could breath in the water. I was have way down there when I saw la Llorona, but wait the beast was right beside me I was swimming like I’ve never swam before. I got to one of the buildings, and went inside.
    There I was planning what to do, I saw a small crack on the wall and I knew I could go threw. I let bubbles come out of my mouth so I could a track him. Then I swam to a little crack on the wall and when I got out the beast got stuck. I swam over to where my best friend was and I saw that the chain was loose. I grabbed my friend and I notice that she drowning. I carried her up I was almost there on the top when I heard this aloud explosion.
    La Llorona and the monster was after me she had made the wall loose so the monster could go right threw it and was after me. I swam and I got to the top where I threw my friend on the ground. I got pulled back into the water and carried to the bottom where I saw la Llorona’s babies. The monster bite me on me left arm. The clear water was not going to be bloody. I swam to the babies where the monster and la Llorona followed. When I got there la Llorona gave a loud cry and vanished, so did the monster. I was relived I got the others out and we swam to the surface. I was the last one to go up because I drowned. I was falling again. But this time I was not scared cause I knew they were going to save me and that if I was lucky I would soon be in the arms of Gustavo, and that every one was going to be happy.
    It’s been a four day since I’ve been falling. But I know I’m not dead. I know that some day ill wake up and that I’m going to give a big kiss to Tavo. If ill die ill die in his arms and not in the hands of la Llorona. xp xp
