It was a long battle, we were both weary, both tired, both bloody. Our eyes met, and I saw the eyes of a warrior, a fighter that has seen many battles, much death, much blood. I wondered if he saw the same in my eyes. And then, at that moment in time I was ready...ready to fight for my life in this final battle for freedom.I took a swing at him and he ducked, I knew what was coming and felt the expected thump against my abs. Pain shot up through my stomach, but i ignored it and went for an upper cut. The impact jarred my arm but I didn't care, I had to take him down, I knew that look,I felt it look through me, read me, know me, if this continued any farther I would be dead before I hit the ground. He took another swing at my face, but I moved the instant his sweat became visible, I took the chance and punched upward with all the force I could muster and heard the satisfying crack of his arm. I heard no cry of pain and the instant I realized I didn't I knew I was in trouble. As if on cue I was hit in the face with such force my body twisted and I was going down.
"IDIOT!," I thought to myself," you know better than to get cocky!"
I painfully grit my bloody teeth and planted my feet. If I fell it would be the end, the end of my life, the end of it all. There was no follow up, the adrenaline spike he was experiencing was wearing off and he could feel the pain in his arm now, I could tell. I paused for a moment and then spit out the blood that was flowing in my mouth. I looked up and saw doubled. I had to end it, it was now or never. With a cry filled with hate, sorrow, and sadness, that came so loud and furious I even surprised myself, I charged at him. Seeing all the faces....feeling all of the emotions....visions of blood and death....all of these flashed in my mind and I couldn't even see him anymore, I let instinct take over, and took a vicious swing....and then there was nothing....I felt nothing...saw nothing....heard nothing...and I was a peace
