Recap:
All of a sudden I heard the door behind me slam and I was thrown back onto the bed. At first I was so shocked that I couldn't even think straight. All I could see was large, gaping darkness. A void empty of color and light, a blackness that swallowed my eye sight (putting it short, it was dark-I couldn't see). I scrambled out of bed with my heart pounding in my chest. And then I saw a large shadow, a silhouette of a man walking my way.
--------------------------------Story continues----------------------------------
Panicking, I glanced towards the window. It would be quite a drop, but certainly better than being stabbed or shot to death. At least I would have a chance to live. But I couldn't leave my mother and father alone with this man in the house. I had to warn them, get to them.
The man lunged at me and I dodged to the left in the nick of time. The man didn't crash into the wall, like I thought he would, but skillfully maneuvered his body and used the wall as a launching pad for his feet and jumped at me without faltering. He moved so freely through the air, almost like he was swimming (except, you know, without water).
"Holy s**t!" I exclaimed, the dude was like a ******** ninja or something. I tried to jump out of the way but this time he was ready. He crashed into me and threw me into my vanity mirror. I could hear the shatter of glass and felt the searing, stinging pain as the shards ripped into the flesh in my head and back. I could feel the tears coming, pooling into my eyes and blurring my vision. Now the man had me pinned under him on the ground,a pool of blood forming under me. I couldn't help but think 'damn, this is it. I'm really going to ******** die'. I heard about it all the time in the news. Death. But I never thought it could happen to me.Teenagers don't think about those kinds of things, we shouldn't have to. I shouldn't have to. There was so much I hadn't done yet, so much I hadn't experienced. No. I wasn't going to die. I couln't let this b*****d kill me...
The man leaned his face in very close to mine, so close that I could see his eyes, the strange, inhuman glow to them. He leaned his face to my neck and sniffed my damp hair, and for some reason I thought of my coconut shampoo. He grinned, an evil, demonic grin. '********, he's gonna rape me!' I think. But instead the man, using one hand to pin both my arms, takes his other hand and dips it into the pool of blood beneath me, and just when I think he can't get any freakier, he sticks the bloody finger in his mouth.
I hear him groan low in his throat in a satisfied sort of way (the kind of groan you make when you're eating the best damn dish of your life). I almost gag at the revolting sight, but all I can think about is the pain...all the pain. I could feel myself getting dreary...weak. I was about to pass out from blood loss. But I had to help my parents, I had to get to them.
Looking back now I think that's the only thing that kept me conscious, the fact that I had to get to them. The thought kept me going, and gave me strength. The strength to drive my knee straight up his crotch; the oldest and most sure-fire trick in the book. The man howled in pain and released me. I scrambled from under him and staggered to the door, leaving a trail of blood behind me. I stumbled down the steps, and I was so weak by the time I reached my parents' door I was practically crawling. I wrenched open their door.
"Mom! Dad!" I exclaimed in the loudest voice I could muster. I hoisted myself up using the edge of the bed and shook my mother roughly to wake her up.
"Momma!" I exclaimed, louder now. "You have to wake up there's some-" Why was the comforter so wet and sticky? I raised my hands and stared at them through my half-blurred vision. Red liquid. Blood.
"Oh God no!" I screamed and fell back in horror.
"No! MOM, DAD!!!" I screeched, my voice hoarse. That cry I heard in the shower, that was my mother. That was the sound of my mother being murdered. Murdered by that man.
A feelingran deep through me then, more powerful than pain or sadness. I felt enraged and furious. More than anything right then, I wanted to kill that man. I wanted to tower over him and watch as he suffered. But I also felt terrified. I felt alone, abandoned, and helpless in a house with a blood-drinking murderer.
I stumbled into the kitchen, using the wall as support, and headed for the back door. He came out of nowhere and threw me onto the counter. I released an 'umph' as my head slammed into the overhead cabinet. More tears dripped down my cheeks as a new pain fired threw my head. He held onto my shoulders so tight I could feel them bruise. I tried to push him away, tried to wriggle free, but I was too weak; drained of all strength. The man pressed closer to me, against me. I suddenly became consciously aware of the fact that all I was wearing was a skimpy bathrobe, which now hung nearly halfway off my body. Frantically, I pushed against him again, my bloody hands leaving smears of red on his arms and shirt. He leaned his face into me again, like he did in my room. His legs pinned my legs, and his hands were keeping me pinned against the cabinet, but I did have one free hand.
"Ohh, hush now. Don't cry." The man purred in a deep, taunting voice and licked the tears off of my cheek. I squimed in revulsion and used my free hand to blindly search for my mother's knife rack.
"W-Why?" I stammered. "Why would you do this?"
"Why because it's fun, of course. I can't think of any better way to spend a Sunday night." He purred.
'Monday morning, dumbass.' I thought. The man faltered and then cocked his head to the side, tightening his grip on my arm. I bit my lip in pain.
"Now, is that any way to talk to the man who holds your life in the palm of his hand?" He cooed.
"How did...?" My voice trailed off. The man smiled another one of his evil smiles. You know what, I don't even care how the ******** he knew what I was thinking. I just wanted to get out of there.I felt my hand touch a heavy, plastic handle. Eureeka! I grabbed the knife and swung it as hard as I could into his heart. Blood splattered onto my face and I probably would have been sick had I not been half out of my mind.
The man released his grip on me and hollered in pain, gripping the handle of the knife in his chest.I staggered to the back door and fumbled with the lock. Behind me I heard him yell as he ripped the knife outof his chest. Finally, the lock unlatched and I ran out into the backyard. I froze when I passed Sakari's dog house. Even from five feet away I could see the sheen of the blood matted in her coat, gleaming in the moonlight. I choked back another sob. He killed my parents, he killed my dog, now he's trying to kill me.
But there was no way in Hell he could have survived that stab. The man had to be dead. Please, God, let him be dead. I turned around just as he threw me against the tree, my head (again) knocking against the trunk. The man lifted me off the ground by my neck, and stared, enraged, into my eyes.
"You're lucky that won't leave a scar, you little b***h!" He snarled. I was too weak to retort with a sly, smartass comment. I was even too weak to be in shock at the fact he was still standing. I could feel my energy draining... I couldn't last much longer. I struggled futilely to work his hands free from my neck. I could feel myself choking, his palm was crushing my windpipe. I looked at him through half-dazed, pleading eyes. I hadn't meant to look so helpess, but how was I supposed to look covered in blood, half-conscious, and being choked to death?
Suddenly the man dropped me, quickly catching me in his arms before I hit the ground. He brought my neck to his face, and brushed my long, blonde hair to the side. he touched his lips to my neck... and thats when I became unconscious.
