“I can’t wait for my trip!” I said to Mom. My name is Dave Mugby,12 years old. I live in San Diego. My aunt Beth is in India. She is on a search for some tomb or cave or something like that. It’s June 21, first day of summer. Mom said I can go to India to see my aunt June 8.Mom said that I will take two planes to India. Six days later Ian came over one day before I left to India. The next day I packed my stuff into my bags and left to the airport with Mom and left with one of my aunt’s friends on the plane.10 hours later they showed a movie about the jungle. It was boring, but I watched it.
At two o’clock, I switched to the other plane. The plane was scrawny and only held a few passengers and one pilot. ”Where to Cristy?” asked the pilot. ”To Beth” said Cristy. "Who are you?” the pilot asked me. ”I am the nephew of Beth.” I said. 2 hours later I landed in the jungle in the southern part of India. We walked from the landing strip to Aunt Beth in the main HQ. Aunt Beth and her friends greeted me with an ice cold Coke. Wow I thought I’ve never been to a jungle before. That night I could not sleep. There was a weird noise that sounded like this: caw ca caw ca caw ca caw. ”Alright people lets go!” said Aunt Beth. “We’re going to look for the lost tomb of King Haza-Baza, king of India.”
Once we were on the trail we split, I was by my self, but I don’t know about the others. After what seemed like an hour I stumbled into a pit. But really I found the lost tomb of king Haza-Baza. I started walking forward until I heard a groaning sound and I froze in my tracks. I was going to try to climb out of the hole, but it sealed its self. So I had to go forward and find the ancient catacombs. A few minutes later I found the sarcophagus of king Haza-Baza. It had weird inscriptions that looked like modern day inscriptions like this:1094-757-6#^@(4-($^-%$! 4147-+=9-0*)(-&&%546-!$?-><”:;-’}-{][-|_6-56-53947-9!@#-$%^&-*()1-.I got my notepad and pencil and deciphered the cipher: Once you figure out the code you will suffer the curse of the king of India king Haza-Baza. I felt the earth underneath me shake and then I saw the sarcophagus’s top slid off. ”Huh?!?” I said. And all that came out was a shrunken head. ”Cool,” I said forgetting about the curse even though it just started...
The next day, I had to pack my bags, get souvenirs for Ian, Mike, Dave, Alex, and Bob. I woke up on the plane the next morning with Cristy and Aunt Beth sitting next to me. The flight seemed longer. After what seemed like days we got home. Bad luck started happening after the curse and then it got worse. After two years past and I lost my shrunken head. A day later I found it. At school I showed the head to my friends and then the head said “Hey kid. Let me tell the part about the tomb!”
the end

- It's not bad for a story by a 7 yr old author, but do you really think you should be submitting it to Gaia, an over 13 site? By that I mean, haven't you anything more recent?
