I sit near the tree ever so tall
Knowing that I'm alone
Trying to stay stiff as a stone
In an effort not to ball
He went to war
Begged me to merry him
I really did love Tim
He always wanted more
Tim's gone now
And I didn't say 'I do'
Or even 'I love you'
To my grate sadness and tears I bow
I lean my head against the door
Knowing that I'll live past this war

- As someone mentioned earlier, this is in the wrong section; it belongs in "Poetry and Lyrics". Also, in the last line of the third stanza, it should be "great", not "grate". I'm not really sure what you meant by "... and the tears I bow.", either. Other than those things, you did quite a good job, just make sure to watch the homophones.
