I think this is wheat? O_o I'm not sure .. it could be grain .. or something. All I know is that it was on the side of the road and it looked like it was growing alongside a bunch of weeds.
Anyway, I took this picture with the intent of having some of those wheat thingies be blurred in the foreground and have the middle be focused and sharp (I love using my new DSLR! So much control!), it came out just right.

- its most definately wheat and a really pretty golden color it kinda reminds me of the scene in gladiator when maximus is strolling thru the wheat feild and brushing his hand along the tops of the wheatstalks ur camera really captured all the detail in the wheat too.

- I used an Olympus E-510, wonderful little camera. The shutterspeed I can't remember, but it was fast enough to take a picture in broad daylight without overexposing too much.
