- This is a good entry for icanhascheezburger.com but it's not photography. Photography is art. Taking composition and exposure into account before you shoot rather than just snapping whatever.

Sorry for double post, but I have to point this out.
Chokolate Thief, the 'laser eyes' is light being reflected back from a special layer of cells called tapetum lucidum. The layer allows the cat to see better in the dark, and it makes cat's eyes more sensitive to light, so to answer your question, it could be light from a lamp shining on the cat, or the flash.
