- Description: This is my then roommate, at the time, who is standing on top of Arch Rock on Mackinac Island in Michigan. It's a natural land bridge, and no tricks were involved other than she's not really supposed to be standing on this rather famous geologic formation. Beneath her, the cliff plunges146 feet into Lake Huron. She's a far braver soul than I.
