Another one of my raku pieces. This was made during the same time and at the same camp that my raku vase was made. Made 3 years ago at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.
How it was made:
Took a slab of clay and carved out a turtle shape, took some news paper and balled it up and placed the turtle over it to make it arche. Carved designs on it. Fired it. Glazed it and fired it again. Idk if you can see, but some parts are multicolored while others are black and charred looking. - Date: 11/03/2008

im not interested so much in the picture but rather the subject (i love turtles and ceramics)
