There Rinoa goes again. Actually maiko often do, regularly, stop for photos if you ask them politely. that kimono isn't tacky at all, but is rather juvenile for a woman her age. It isn't an insult to dress up in maiko henshin, real maiko are amused by it.

- actually, I believe that she is a 'Maiko'. Because Geiko's have already completed their apprenticeship and are no longer able to wear the dangling hair decorations. But other than that, very good photo.

- its actually not a "geiko" its a maiko, she is fake, the girl paid to be dressed up like one, real maiko dont wear tacky kimono like that. Theres no such thing as a fake Geiko/Geisha, no woman is allowed to dress up like a geisha, as it would be an insult. and real maiko dont stop to pose for pictures.
