- to make the sword look longer use the vanishing point technique. draw a line at the point where you want the sword's hilt to be and draw the two ends of the blade. then as you go draw the two edged farther apart sorta like if you were lookind straight down a road. the two sides of the road look like they get closer together the farther down you look.
