This was made as a joke to a former teacher; all I used to doodle was weirdly-haired people so I figured graffiti-ing their door with this would bring back some memories.
And if you are intending to go into Art/Design, don't rely on Anime rendering. Especially in the US, I found it frowned upon. Have it be an influence (it's a whole world of crazy ideas and people), but develop your own creative juices ;)

- wow, i wuv it!! I do agree with you that art teachers look down on manga alot. My art one and two teachers would get frustrated with people drawing anime for their art expose. It would always make me laugh, cuz i would assume brilliant manga artist make a whole crap load of money than a art teacher would.
