Don't listen to him. I think the idea is very good.
I agree with the "once having a strong brotherly bond" between the two.
It makes things sadder.

- I wouldn't really shiver at that. It's a little odd how whichever wins GETS to kill the other, rather than HAS to kill the other. If they had to kill the loser, you could twist it around, give flashbacks, and make a strong brotherly bond and let the least favorite brother win and be forced to kill the other...by ripping open their scalps and shoving a knife into their brain, after looking them in the eye. Now THAT is what would make a person shiver, but that's just one idea.
